Looking for good Hospital for Treating a Brain Tumar,I have found 2
CheshireTom replied to Dr Mick's topic in Expat Issues
Maybe better to take a step back and pass it on to the German Embassy to sort out. They appear to be a bit more sympathetic than the UK Embassy - we had a German guy who was in the local hospital for months (basically for free) and the Embassy was (eventually) helpful in sorting everything out. -
Step 1 ... Go to the top right of this page (it should look like this) and click on the small icon ... Step 2 ... A new window will open showing a list of sections/sub-forums. Click on the section/sub-forum where you want to open a new topic - in this case, "Off Topic and General Chat" ... Step 3 ... The top right of the page is now slightly different (it should look like this). Click on the "Start New Topic Button" ... Step 4 ... The new Topic input form will open ... fill it in with whatever you want ... Step 5 ... When you have finished entering whatever you want to post, click the "Post New Topic" button ... Done.

I enjoyed the movie - visits to the cinema down here aren't a regular excursion for me (screenings in English aren't as numerous as in Pattaya). I thought that the prominence afforded to Judie Dench was well-justified ... it would be like Real Madrid including Ronaldo in their team and not passing the ball to him if it was otherwise.

K. Atlas, You're good at these storyline thingies ... any of your insights into the next Bond Movie?

Mick, Whatever happens, you'll need to check the small print in his insurance schedule - not all will cover you in the Bangkok Group, let alone Bumrungrad. Lots of Thais opt for Vejthani or Samitvej in Bangkok and they both have good reputations. -
We've certainly got postboxes, mailmen, stamps ...

Pattaya International, it's only a matter of time

I think you can book with Solar Air at the moment - whether the booking process is OK through to completion though, I have no idea. The booking process isn't on a secure site ... -
Good to see the Bikers get involved to mark the 70th anniversary of the building of The Death Railway. Some good background info here ...

The Laws of the Game doesn't provide an awful lot of guidance for the refs - only that it is one thing that should be "taken into consideration".

Here you go for Ford ... and for Mazda

In the beginning, I think it was a bit of a Yuppie rites of passage thing - progress from Cats/Evita, prawn cocktails and Blue Nun to Les Mis (as they seemed to insist on calling it), antipasto and Chardonnay. Lots of them (yuppies) thought they had joined the cultural elite just by buying their 10 quid circle seat at The Palace. I agree, and with the sound systems in place in cinemas nowadays it could be a huge movie to experience.

I watched it on Sunday with an English couple who weren't even born when Connery and Moore were playing the Bond role and thought that Daniel Craig was probably the best Bond I've seen for a long time. I don't agree with the idea of trying to stick to to some 1960s period piece - I think the makers got the balance of the "Bond movie" being refreshed to appeal to a whole new audience (as well as long-time fans) just about right. Sad to see Judie Dench hang-up her mittens though - she's a class act. Looking forward to seeing Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway in Les Miserables on the big screen after it's released next month - the trailers look excellent.

No harm with a timely reminder IMHO. For those guys that are interested, Bert and the Legion folk on Soi 6/1 always have something organised on 11/11. As an alternative, Services of Remembrance are scheduled at the UK Embassy in BKK and at the main Cemetery in Kanchanaburi. From the British Chamber of Commerce website ...

I was obviously thinking the same about Man Utd. Not to worry.

I thought you were a Southampton fan.

So after 10 games, things are beginning to take shape ... A big "Well Done" to David Moyes and Big Sam so far ... although West Ham have a pretty difficult run of games that they've just started ...

97 Baht Van from Bangkok to Pattaya from Victory Monument
CheshireTom replied to tequilareef's topic in Transport in Thailand
The trouble with the van services (not just the Victory Monument crew, but in general) is that you can end up really squashed into the van with a driver who thinks he's on contract to Red Bull. Personally speaking, if I was around lower Sukhumvit and looking to head down to Pattaya on the cheap, I'd be getting the skytrain to Ekamai, not Victory Monument. That said, I'm heading on a trip tomorrow morning and catching a minivan is really the only viable option for the first part of the journey.- 40 replies

He was last active on June 2nd. Maybe the thought of sitting through Euro 2012 was too much for him.

It'll certainly be interesting to hear what McQuaid has to say for himself and UCI later today. The way he attempted to derail the USADA investigation when Armstrong took the thing to court was nothing short of disgraceful. Likewise, Nike. To claim that they've only just realised the guy wasn't clean is stretching things just a bit ... they certainly done their bit in creating and building up the big lie.

Bangkok - Near US Embassy
CheshireTom replied to JONPAT's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Whose rates? Just tried the Bliston Reservation System - something's not right ... asking for CC details on an insecure site ... If booking, best stick to doing so through Combined Hotels/Latestays/Wotif etc. -
