You can't be serious, the Golden is the first hotel I ever stayed in and was a dump then, nice pool though. Cheapest and best for me is the Grace.

Wrong the best one near Sandy is at the top of Soi 13 , next to the chemist that sells Cialis. 256 ADSL and 1.5baht a minute and open till 12 midnight at least.

ID checks aren't worth two bob, if a TG is devious enough to want to steal from you then who is say she hasn't already got a stolen ID card ? Or should she steal all she has to do is lie low until you've left the country and a decent thief/liar would already have ascertained when you're leaving and then there is nothing you can do as the Thai police won't bother when you're not there. The best way to keep your valuables safe from harm is keep them locked away in a safe and never put temptation into anyones reach.

I could haver done but once I weighed up the 800bt joiner plus the fucking hike up Soi 5 i thought bollocks to it and stayed at the Nana. If I had been a teetotaller and not requiring female company then yes I'd have stayed at the Bell End.

Or aren't publicised on message boards or even don't have email booking facilities. I find these places are easier to book up also having someone or yourself even on a previous trip book up in person tends to do the trick. Maybe hotels are now sceptical of internet bookings because of the high number of non turn ups ?

Booked out and guys actually turning up for bookings is a different matter. This is why I can understand hotels wanting paying in advance as a way to guarantee the first night. People making multiple bookings and then not cancelling fuck things up for the rest of us.

What part don't you understand ? The two nights were thrown in with the ticket, so I never paid for the room.

Because I didn't pay for it, it's like a lot of flights you book thru Trailfinders where they give you two/three nights free in a hotel. I wasn't going to pay 800bt plus have that hike up Soi 5 so I just went to the the Nana.

In September I had two nights there included with my ticket, when I inquired as to whether it was 'guest friendly' they said it would be a 800bt charge so I didn't bother and went to the Nana. If you book in and pay the rack rate you can get away with it but with an airline discounted ticket you've had it and will be hit with a joiner fee and i had the same at Amari Boulevard too. Hope this helps.

If the rooms are empty then maybe you could negotiate a discount but you'd have to pay upfront at the Sandy, I've asked before and was quoted 850bt a night but money in advance.

Bell (end) Aire is on soi 5 nice and convenient for the Soi 7 biergarten, Eden club and a 10 minute stroll to Nana plaza. Rooms are fairly nice but it is a normal travellers hotel and you'll be hit with a joiner fee if you take company back for the night.

Mike shopping mall near TQ's definitely has them on the first floor, also the small market on Beach Rd near Best Friend complex also has Thai shirts.

Thai economy is much better, leg room wise than EVA economy other than that there is not much difference. If a couple of inches extra space is important go with Thai otherwise EVA is fine and an extra £100 to spend in LOS.
