This to me sums up why I never get a pre booked taxi to pick me up at the airport, too damn difficult looking for a guy holding a namecard up plus the idiots sometime go to the wrong terminal etc. Far easier to look on the flight or by the carousel for a 'Pattaya type' traveller and share one down from one of the limo desks.

Upgrade vouchers ain't worth a wank, if you read the small print then they are only valid on the fully flexible economy return tickets , then only if there is room, then if they have meals available etc and of course a Thai would get first pickings over a falang Mind you the lounge access vouchers are ok .

Tom, Not a bargain really considering that EVA has a fare around that price most of the year and then there is the reliability factor plus not being able to collect miles for free trips upgrades etc. Even Garuda was cheaper than that so for me I'll stick to EVA or Thai unless they drop their prices by about a ton. When I first started going to LOS and I flew Qantas, the flight originated in Manchester then LHR then off to BKK. This was the old QF2 which left Heathrow at lunchtime and got to Bangers at 6am.

Officially the customs could confiscate one copy shirt as they are illegal but they tend to let you thru ok as long as you're not taking the piss, 20 of the same shirt would now be guaranteed confiscation and your name on the blacklist which means you get stopped everytime you travel. I was talking to a customs guy who told me that at Heathrow any kind of guy coming back from LOS with a holdall will get a pull and the first thing they look for is football shirts and DVD's. So as the Thai say 'up to you' and anyway why not buy the pukka ones in England as I reckon Tesco's and JJB's will have offers on them as soon as they come out ?

Are you talking about the new red ones ? If so I doubt if they are a proper copy and made of the new material either. The last time England released a new shirt the early copies were poor imitations until someone could get a kosher one and then the streets were flooded with good copies.
