Seems like a strange dislike, as you are in business to sell alcohol and that does make people drunk.

The pool is tiny and the hotel is well of the beaten track,unless you have transport you will walk a lot ,if this dosent worry you then its not a bad choice.

I have not ridden a bike at home for more than your 27 years ,but I did feel that I could handle it and I have for the last 3 years when I am in funtown.My only suggestion is that if you dont feel confident in your ability now then no ammount of training will be any use as what you seem to lack is confidence in your bike skills,and IMHO Pattaya is not the place to try and get them back,if you can afford it then a small car might be a better bet .

hi all,I am a great bargainer (its my Scottish Heritage)I find that the usual(good bargainers) price for DVDs is 100 baht each and you get a free one if you buy 10 ,so 11 for 1000baht and if you buy more you will get (or should ask for) a greater discount,I got 33 for 2800 baht in the tuesday - friday market.but I would never pay more than 100 baht as there will allways be another salesman along in a minute,in the mikes mall I bought a suitcase on wheels that was advertised at 1800 baht but came down to 1400 when asked if that was her best price and all the way down to 1200 when i said I was only looking only to be asked what I wanted to pay when I was still not enticed into buying,I said 1000 and was told that was not enough she wanted 1150,we settled on 1100 all in the space of 30 seconds,so no matter what the signs say there is allways room to manouver.

Hi ,as with all questions of this sort its horses for courses,some might spend $500 in a day some very lucky and also very rich may spend much more but if $1000 is all you have then it will be more than sufficient.You can spend a lot more but only if you have a lot more.I have just returned from a 4 month trip and I averaged approx £1000 a month and that included my rent my bike and my air fare,I know that I am a cheap charlie but I dont drink (alcohol)I rarely go into GoGos and will select my partners from the girls on Beach Rd (500baht short time) my budget also contained a little extra for spending, 6 silk shirts, some shorts, 73 DVDs and 2 or 3 Two hour massages a week.I do everything I want to do and still have a good time on a budget. PS I also have a shave every other day but I use a lady that charges only 50 baht so even with a 10 baht tip this is not much of an extravagence.

Tipping is absolutely a choice, I dont allways want to pay more than the agreed price,so I dont, you on the other hand may want to pay more than the agreed sum for the service provided, that is up to you,your stupidity is no indication of what I should, or will do. If you want to make a difference to the "poor people of Pattaya"then I suggest that you give some money to the orphanage,and dont overpay what are (for pattaya at least)already well paid workers.

Loads of nonsense talked on this site at times,Many people dont tip at all and the Thais dont (for the most part )expect a tip,but to tip 100 on a 150 baht massage is well out of proportion to the services rendered,a 10% tip is more than adequate,on top of the fee already paid. the fact that its nothing to you means nothing A TIP SHOULD BE IN PROPORTION TO THE RECIPIANT NOT THE GIVER.

Hi ,I get a great massage at the massage place uner the Lek Hotel on second road the lady who does me (I always use the same woman)Is probably 50 or so but she makes it possible for me to walk tall when I leave even if I was crouching when I went in,I suffer from arthritis

Hi all, I tried this place when I got into town last week but they told me all they had where large rooms at 15000 baht a monh so I went along the road to the Diana Estates and go a very large room for 9000 a month.

Hi ,at your price you wont get UBC,only Sophon. You could do what I did and pitch up at the Diana esates on soi buakhao and get a condo for 9000baht a month +utilities I will be here 4 more month and its great so far.

I have been trying to contact The LK mansion for 10 days (4/5 e-mails)and have had no reply at all, does anyone know of any reason why this place does not reply to e-mails,or have you any feedback about it ,I wanted to know about in room safes, room sizes,(it says 28sq m and thats the same as 13ft by 22ft and that is pretty big by my standards)and facilities.so any help or advice would be appreciated.

Hi hardeep,My post is an honest answer to you and others who ask the same question there is no answer that will give you any real help,I can tell you how much I spend but that is what I can afford,not what you or others can afford.The amount that YOU spend will depend on how much you earn ,what you consider luxury,how many women a day or week that you want to BF,where YOU will stay,how much and what you drink,will you ring the Bell,(I don't,others do)what YOU eat and where,will you BF more than one girl at a time,will YOU be a cheap Charlie or a high roller.I personally am a disabled man who live on less than £11000 a year I come to Pattaya using savings from when I did work,this year I will be in Pattaya for 4 months and 12 days and the total for this stay will probably be less(much) than £5000 and that will inc all my costs,even in this time of an increasing Baht,some will spend more than this for less than a month,so everything is relative to YOU and YOUR circumstances,the question that you asked is far too specific to YOU, for YOU, ever ,to get a reasonable answer from anyone but YOURSELF.enjoy yourself in LOS and if you are in Pattaya after 20th April and before August 30th look me up and we can have a drink and a chat

Hi, the exact ammount that you should bring is ,all that you can afford,if you have any left over you take it home and keep it until next time,any other ammount could see you running out of money, before you run out of holiday.The only way you as an individual can calculate how much you will spend in any single holiday destination will only be evident to you after you have been in that location at least once,no one can tell YOU how much YOU need only YOU can make that decision. Before you start complaining that is not helpful there are many posts that can tell you how much hotel rooms cost,meals and various other things,but only YOU know how YOU spend money on any given occasion,so bring as much as you can afford,that way you wont go wrong.
