WAY TO GO BILL !! "They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: Why you ain't, Where you is, What he drive, Where he stay, Where he work, Who you be... And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth. In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around. The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what ? ? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics. I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was 2 ? ? Where were you when he was 12 ? ? Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol ? ? And where is the father ? ? Or who is his father ? People putting their clothes on backward: Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong? People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something ? ? Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up ? Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body? What part of Africa did this come from?? We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa . With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail. Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem. We have got to take the neighborhood back. People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now. We have millionaire football players who cannot read. We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks, have to do a better job. We have to start holding each other to a higher standard. We cannot blame the white people any longer." Dr. William Henry "Bill" Cosby, Jr., Ed.D.

OPEN LETTER to President George W Bush (X) Dear Mr President, Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's law. I have learned a great deal from you and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him or her that Leviticus 18:22 clearly state it to be an abomination. End of discussion. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Laws and how to follow them: 1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not to Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians? 2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her? 3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev. 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offence. 4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odour for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbours. They claim that the odour is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them? 5. I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states that he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it? 6. A friend of mine feels that, even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there "degrees" of abomination? 7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here? 8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they be executed? By burning or stoning? 9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play games of football if I wear gloves? 10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them (Lev. 24:10-16)? Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws (Lev.20:14)? I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I am confident that you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging. Sincerely yours, Mr Bible Bigot

A husband was in big trouble when he forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife told him, 'Tomorrow there better be something in the driveway for me that goes zero to 200 in two seconds flat'. The next morning the wife found a small package in the driveway. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale. Funeral arrangements for the husband have been set for Wednesday

A couple was on their honeymoon, lying in bed, about ready to consummate their marriage, when the new bride says to the husband, "I have a confession to make, I'm not a virgin." The husband replies, "That's no big thing in this day and age." The wife continues, "Yeah, I've been with one guy." "Oh yeah? Who was the guy?" "Tiger Woods." "Tiger Woods, the golfer?" "Yeah." "Well, he's rich, famous and handsome. I can see why you went to bed with him." The husband and wife then make passionate love. When they are done, the husband gets up and walks to the telephone. "What are you doing?" asks the wife. The husband says, "I'm hungry, I was going to call room service and get something to eat." "Tiger wouldn't do that." "Oh yeah? What would Tiger do?" "He'd come back to bed and do it a second time." The husband puts down the phone and goes back to bed to make love a second time. When they finish, he gets up and goes over to the phone. "Now what are you doing?" she asks. The husband says, "I'm still hungry so I was going to get room service to get something to eat." "Tiger wouldn't do that." "Oh yeah? What would Tiger do?" "He'd come back to bed and do it again." The guy slams down the phone, goes back to bed, and makes love one more time. When they finish he's tired and beat. He drags himself over to the phone and starts to dial. The wife asks, "Are you calling room service?" "No! I'm calling Tiger Woods, to find out what the par is for this damn hole."

In Pattaya this year I bought some Night Black wine .a full bodied red wine from a Thai winery I paid 199 baht but that was an introductory price.I found it a very nice drop of red ,fruity and with a good smell ,Aroma for the posh,I got it in the little market they have just outside the Big C on 2nd rd they had many varieties and were allowing tastings ,so I tried a few and to be honest the only thing worth drinking (for me anyway) was the Night Black red wine ,everything else was a bit to like home made from a kit. There was even a Mangostien wine .I believe that the winemakers that made the red were aussies, but I don't know for sure about the other wines as they all seemed to come from different wineries.

I looked into this place a couple of years ago because of the price and location, but even when they showed me around a couple of rooms (you would expect them to show you the best available) I was unimpressed by both room size and cleanliness ,added to which the pool was positively green and i such a poorlocation as to be almost unusable even if clean, altogether not a place to take your dog, never mind your luggage. PS this place is cheap yes ,but not cheap enough to waste time with, there are better and cleaner places all over town ,the only shame here is the location is wasted on this dump.

Hi Jamooz,Take the easy way as far as taxis are concerned and book Mr Toom,His drivers know where the hotels are and as a newbie you don't and neither do the Bankok drivers, using taxis at the rank can be a nightmare or perfectly good for a saving of £3-£4 I would not bother, if you want to save money then get the bus as has been described. Koh Lahrn is a nice island and well worth a days outing with a TG in tow,but it is not an organised trip you just go to the Bali Hi pier and the fare is not 150 baht but only 20 baht each way (that is what I paid16 months ago, last time I went)Boats leave at 11 am 12 am and return at 5pm and 6pm is the latest boat back,There are earlier than the 11am boat out but no farangs are ever up that early. The description above is dead on as far as scenery is concerned. As for food poisoning take some Immodium and watch what you eat and where ,If like me you stick to European food then you will have the same chance of food poisoning in Pattaya as you do at home.Always make sure that the water you drink is from a bottle that has the security seal intact Enjoy your trip, your first one will be a BIG learning experience that will never be repeated , as you soon become a part of the experience that is Pattaya. PS if you watch the board then Emil sometimes gets a group of guys to go together and that can be a good day out if you are with a group of lads enjoying themselves, and Emil himself is a very nice bloke to talk to.

The airline is quite good ,they give you plenty to drink on the plane (if you ask) ,but, the airport at Doha is dry and devoid of anything to do other than free Email ,and you have to queue for that .I flew with them last year and would again if the price was right ,but, I would rather go to another airport if I had a long layover as there is nothing to do in Doha.As has been said join frequent flier programme to get extra 10 kilos baggage allowance.Take a good book or 2 if you have a long layover at Doha which is a common occurrence on the gatwick -BKK flight.

Hotels in the heart of the action
sinbinjack replied to twomp's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I personally would recommend that a first timer should stay in the soi 7-8 or soi 13 area ,both right in the thick of it but central so you can get where you want quite easily.I recomend The flippers (either soi 7-8) and the LEK on soi 13.have stayed in them and been satisfied. -
I had a suspicion that we might be hunting similar prey in the same jungle. But if you ever need a big fat old git to make up the numbers I am available.

Hi Paul,You will find plenty of Male company in Pattaya if you want it ,but,If you dont want company then going on your own is great ,What happens is that you will buddy up with like minded guys quite quickly but as you didn't come with them you don't need to do the things they want to do if you don't want too.I regularly go on 3 and 4 month holidays in LOS on my own ,but have never felt alone or lonely.

Hi Brad,There is little or no change in Pattaya over the 2 years you have been away.Prices ,as has been said are up if you are an American but thats the $'s fault, not Thailand's ,only thing I have seen change over the last 2 or 3 years is there seem to be more Ladyboys around or I am becoming better at spotting them .

Not a lot of city center bars in my town seem to be following this rule as the vast majority of young bar goers at closing time are at the least ,swaying, if not totally legless.I think there is too much alcohol abuse today and everyone should reduce their intake ,not a great thought for a drinkers forum I know but sensible.
