  1. glad you made it home in one piece...thanks for the review.
  2. I'd be interested to read your take on this growing market. Do you see this growing market as a good thing for the city and Walking Street? How big will the market grow? ...and... will niteclubs like FLB, Secrets, TQ and the Blues Factory have to adapt to this growing market in order to prosper in the future?
  3. from the photo provided by the hotel...you get a wooden bench in yer room and they get to call it a suite?
  4. that's just it...the OP was cleaned out...he lost everything in the box, not one or two TC's...which makes it sound like the thief wasn't a shy "hope you don't notice I ripped you off" front desk employee... and if it was an outside "Ocean's 11" type job... why didn't every safety deposit box get cleaned out...why just his? a lot of questions swirling around this caper..... sincerely, Crimedog McSpike
  5. ....don't quite know what yer on about ....but, if you want to take the word of an internet poster you've never met...and has all of 12 posts...which I've read ......well, that's up2U... me, I'm a bit more cautious and believe about 10% of what I read on any mongers forum... it's works for me. edit...you must not have read his post...he already offered to scan the report.
  6. Quite a business killing charge to hang on a successful group of hotels..................would like to hear more details before crossing this hotel chain off. http://www.eastinypattaya.com/residence/ Yes, I'd like to see the scanned police report.
  7. wonder if he knows that he will need a work permit to sweep up Walking Street?
  8. Shirley yer joking.... sending top secrets via pm on a mongers board? rest assured...yer secrets are safe here....unless of course, yer planning a party at Hi-Boss... ..
  9. here's a direct link to their "contact" page where you can get a quick reply to your question from the front desk..... http://www.sandyspringhotel.com/contact_map.html
  10. When in Pattaya...I patronize a Russian dentist who, along with his Thai dentist wife, practices at "Ex-Pat Samile" on 3rd Road close to Excyte...I have found Dr. I. Yankum to be both professional and reasonably priced.
  11. my first choice in that area would be the Metro Apts...clean and friendly...stayed there for almost a month once...can't remember exactly what it ran, but somewhere below 20k. before you book...you might want to drop Dennis a note and see if he has any vacancies... http://www.metro-apartments-pattaya.com/
  12. I think I know who you are...do you have a pony tail?
  13. get back to me when you've stayed there.
  14. I've used their airport pick up and they are efficent...good clean car and safe driver...Dr. Kim's "sister" runs the cab service back to the airport...or at least she used to...and they will use your deposit to pay for her services if needed...good clean cars and safe and silent transport to BKK. just one last comment....unless you're staying a month or so at the PBR...which I have, a couple of times...do yourself a favor and book a deluxe room...the standard room is tiny and you will soon tire of bumping into yerself.....also, don't give too much thought to the free breakfast...it ain't n
  15. don't mean to nit pick...but,...Olympic speedster Usain Bolt couldn't make it from PBR to 2nd Road in a minute...and he'd have a tough time getting to Soi Dianna/Soi Metro/buckaroo in 15 minutes from PBR....and that's taking the shortcut behind the avenues...which I wouldn't suggest during the evening...as it it dark and desolate...with motor taxi's buzzing by around blind corners.
  16. I've stayed there 3 or 4 times and really have no major gripes about the place...only a few things to consider, depending on the month you are visting.... if visiting during the rainy season...you're basically stuck there when the deluge begins...virtually no place to run to or drink at, other than your room...and at night, when you're wanting to hit the town, it can be a bit of a pain in the arse. They do have big beach umbrellas for you to use, but, then you have to lug them around town all night...."no big deal" you might say...but, if you are visiting in late September or the month of
  17. incredible detective work... ...you have earned the honor to worship at the altar...and may request a tune from the jukebox
