  1. that's a generalization...still plenty of Happy girls that are into the experience.... sometimes....an employee's attitude is shaped by who's doing the hiring. IMHO...Happy is still one of the premier GoGo's in Pattaya.
  2. here's another urban myth....guys who write blogs about Thailand are experts and know all the answers.
  3. JMHO...LK Metro is a happening place with lots of opportunities for fun...great places to drink and plenty of good looking girls. but...if you're a light sleeper the options for a good nights rest are limited. My suggestion would be to book early...the Metro Apts would be my choice and request a room in the back of the establishment...room #1 would be my choice. for guys who go to sleep b/4 4am....the noise of the soi will definitely come into play, especially during the upcoming high season...
  4. thanks for moving this thread to the funnies section..
  5. ...and young guys who frequent Pattaya could have the pick of the litter back home...
  6. Gives a new meaning to the phrase..."here's one on the house"....
  7. "the only figure i will give is that as business stands i would expect to make a minimum profit of 15 million baht in that 6 years"... . $500,000.00 USD profit expected in 6 years?...minimum?....and he wants to sell the place because no one from the forum comes in to drink with him? sure...whatever you say....
  8. bloke down the pub told me Glitterman and the German Hobo were exploring the Roch Haus purchase...and putting together a group that included Thai money from the white face lady and popular Pattaya performance artists like the break dancing kids.
  9. that's what you get pal for eating at McDonalds...nothing like that would ever be tolerated at Burger King... btw...what are you doing posting on a Saturday night in Pattaya?...you'll be sorry when you get back to work...

  11. Can you imagine being stuck in the next seat?...he'd be reaching over and helping himself to yer scrambled eggs...everyone on the plane would have to be comped.
  12. He's a completely different person when you talk to him about the NFL...he's a NFL junkie and will give you the score on any game you've missed. then there's the old dude with the white hair who has breakfast everyday at the Haven...a loudmouthed American who scawls anti-semitic words on photos in the daily newspapers..he's a fixture at the Haven...I try not to have breakfast until 9:30 when he's gone...but, if there's an American sporting event on that you want to watch you can't help but bump into him.
  13. one last note about the Haven...they serve the best cup of coffee in town.
  14. OK sums up the food...or you might substitute OK for hit and miss. 80b breakfast,,,2 eggs, "bacon" (ham) 2 toast and small cup of coffee is a pretty good value...but, if you stray from that selection, yer on yer own...the Mexican dish with the flour tortillas, rice, beans and fried eggs was served with stale tortillas that could have been used as frisbees...but the waitress that served me is a friend so I let it go. I quit eating dinner there a few trips ago as the chicken and then the beef selection was served all dried out. better option for food is the Sportsman 2 doors down towards 2nd road. The Haven does show NFL/MLB games live on a big flat screen in the front dining section and an old time 54" home theatre screen in the back dining room....you just have to awake early enough to view the games.
  15. Recently...I asked an ex-pat friend of mine..."if you got into a fix, who is the guy in town who you can count on to help you out?"...without hesitation he relied..."Bushcraft." that to me sez it all...Happy Birthday Bushcraft.
  16. IMHO...not many things have changed in Pattaya since my first trip in 2003. The service on Soi 6 is exactly the same as it was 9 years ago, the hotel I stay in is still an excellent place to stay with good clean rooms and pleasant employees who make sure that you enjoy yer stay. The food at the restaurants I frequent...although a tad more expensive...is still delicious. The beer bars that I drink in still have the same crappy bands playing the same BeeGees songs badly...and the girls in the bars are still great fun. I still find that if you treat the Thai people in Pattaya with kindness and respect you will be treated exactly the same way...with smiles and kindness...from the street vendors to the Beach Road hookers...kindness, respect and smiles still go a long way. With the exception of falang demographics....the biggest change that I really noticed last month was on Walking Street....the beer bar is gradually vanishing on W/S....in another year or two...W/S will be a solid lineup of GoGo's and Disco's....that seems to be where the money is these days...the Discos are teeming with freelancers and liquor is being solid in these establishments like crazy...discos on W/S are nothing but money. There are still some great haunts on Soi 8...but, just on the lower half...Cherry Bar is still a great time and Best Bar has the best beer bar lineup in Pattaya. The LK Metro/Diana/Buckaroo area is still a solid English speaking falang area and I don't see that changing anytime soon...seems that most bars in this area are doing OK...Lolitas has turned for the worse though...the girls there all look like your hotel cleaning lady now, 40+ and fat...even a drunken sailor would think twice about getting a blow job there. in my estimation...Pattaya is still the same as b/4...and unlike any other place I've ever been...I'll continue to be a patron
  17. FYI....1/2 of the Sea Me Spring rooms face out to Tip Plaza and Tip Plaza has become a thriving day/night market.... ...complete with loudspeaker music during the day and car shows with those monster sound systems at night....
  18. I agree about the Sportsman being very good...especially the buttermilk pancakes with banana's and maple syrup...best pancakes I've ever eaten. the ham and cheese omelet is excellent as well.
  19. I see guys coming in an out of the hotel...so that may still be open but the bar is closed ...and that PSE, tall, 28 year old with the big boobs that worked there... is no where to be found on soi 6
  20. It will definitely be wet as September is very rainy... average September rainfall in Pattaya is approx 15 inches... Canvas shoes are a good item to bring as you will be walking through alot of deep puddles during the evening and the canvas dries out quickly...and...you can never bring enough underwear. enjoy yer first trip to heaven on earth...because you will soon be doomed to hell for what you are about to do.
  21. that's just weird...what's wrong with the old "no thanks I'm gay."
  22. Rocketman.... fyi...if you didn'y already know...you can become a Sandy member at check in for 300b...this rolls back the standard room rate to approx 1380 or so.
  23. JMHO...I wouldn't want to constantly cross 2nd Road with an 8 year old during rainy season and then walk against traffic on Soi Diana....plus, during a normal 8 day stay...you can count on Soi Diana flooding out in October a couple of times.. For a couple hundered extra baht you can stay across from the AA at the Sandy Spring...get a big Standard with twin beds and it's a safe walk down to the Beach.
  24. I wonder if his children are looking forward to dear old dadz return ....they're probably in the process of drawing short straws to see who dad shacks up with. his kids will probably hold a fund raising bake sale upon his arrival...with all proceeds going towards a ticket back to Thailand for daddy...
