  1. there's some thai guys right underneth where you go up to the Polo in the corner on the left, dont't know the name of the little bar, it's where the California Pizza place usta be. they play "rock", i like blues factory also but as the name implies, more blues and jazz with a little soul when the thai chick does her tina turner stuff and i guess tecnially you can call "lam" rock when her's ther on wensdays or stops in for the last set. there's even a couple of the little bars in soi 2-3 across from Classroom 2 that has r&r bands but with 15 band playing in 1/2 block area tought to list
  2. thanks for the update be there in a few weeks now and would still like to stay at the AA Residence. sounds like it will be ok as long as i get the rooms faceing beach road. know you had a great time rb
  3. even the servicesmans lounge at MSP is smokefree, which was the only place left to smoke. have to go outside and re-enter through security, suxs, fucking socialist republic of ten thousand ladyboys
  4. i thought it a bit dirty settle on the AA Residence for 700bt, can get for 650bt longer stay. twin palms at 700bt nice too but down next to Hard Rock a little out of the way
  5. ya if your walking down beach road headed towards walking street, just take a hard right, be careful though, don't think they use very much chlorine in the water
  6. msp-nrt 12 hrs nrt-bkk 6hrs = 18hrs next shortest from minneapolis is korea air at 21hrs just because it the shortest flight out of msp, all others are atleast anouther 5hrs plus my ex-works for NW and she can track me and know why i'm going to LOS
  7. my recommendation is still the same, book a room for 1-2 nights and then when you get there take your list of 5-6 places you've reseached from the hotel section and spend a morning going and looking at the places and see what they got and what you like. there is no shortage of rooms in pattaya, you will be able to get lodging. good luck rb
  8. i'ld tell ya, but then i'ld have to kill ya, wait a minute, are you in LOS? i might have to reconcider!!!
  9. I belive the cash machines your talking about down by the baggage claim area are "money exchangers" you put cash in them and get thb in return and i have as yet ever gotten one to take my $100.00 USD bill. I always arrive from NRT at 2330hrs so not much open, the exchange just prior to exiting arrivels is ussually got a line and i'm normally out of patince after 18hrs in the air, so i use the ATM. there is one just as you make it throught the onslot at arrivels to the left by the snack shop, but at 2330 it rarely has any cash left in it and also has a line so I go up one fight of stairs and
  10. potman the great thing about pattaya is there is never any shortage of accomidations. book anywhere you feel ok with for 1-2 nights and take your research list of your top5 hotels and spend a morning going and looking at them and see what you like, realy gives you a flavor for whats going on and whats avaliable and you'll have much more to contribute in your trip report about prices and location. pick some on soi2, soi8 soi13 and second road. well worth a couple hours of time in my option
  11. wensday 4 aug 04 northwest and united reducted international fights for this fall through 31 dec 04 most of the other airlines have followed. check your prefered route and schedule if you are heading out this fall and see if you can get an acceptable fight at a price your comfortable with. i'm heading over on 14 OCT and returning 25 OCT 04; msp-bkk and return on NW for $796.50 USD., not great but acceptable and it's non-stop msp-nrt so i booked. now if fares would drop for jan, feb and april...... rb
  12. thank you kind sir now i'll post my dates on the calander see ya in 75 days randie
  13. was wondering if and how to change/reduce my user name from "rbav84" to just "rb"? don't know if i can or would have to reregister and all that
  14. prices should drop some after summer travel is done, end of aug-sep, but not as dramaticly as we've gotten usta. my guess is 10-15% instead of the 20-33%, according to the wall street journal. US carriers are losing so much trying to compete with the discount airlines that the only place they are making money is on international fights and international travel is up so no need to discount yet, of course if something happens.........
  15. doubt if it's 1st post, just new name
  16. they have joiners fee, they want you to bf the tg's from the lounge, no guest fee for them. they do have a river taxi that takes you up to several diffent loctions where you can get cab or overhead. the breakfast buffet is ok personnelly i wouldn't stay there. it's an hour to get anywhere
  17. haven't stayed at the lek, but have the breakfeast buffet they every moring. nice pool also. don't know but i'ld think the rooms facing soi13 might be cheaper because of the construction noise from the condo going in next to the dynesty.
  18. just booked msp-bkk on nw w/cash & miles, 14-25 OCT. had to complete travel by 31OCT. have to fly on mon-thur to be able to get the direct flight from msp to nrt so i'll miss loy kratong. really don't like NW but it's the only option from msp to get to bkk without adding an additional stop (det,sf,lax) and at least an other 5hrs each way 19/27-18hrs msp-bkk 26/20-16hrs bkk-msp fuck the FA (exwife works for NW), i've gotten to were i've "enjoyed" the old bitches, reminds me why i'm going to los in the first place!!! although it is a tedious proccess i have always gotten my award flig
  19. thought i had heard mention this was goiung to be a condominium?
  20. stayed there in march and no problem with guests, they do have the "guest" leave ID and will call room to see if evertything is ok before returning it. I really liked the location with leks across the street (95bt breakfeast buffet with fresh brewed coffee) but the pool is really just a large hot tub. they do have nice, new rooms and internet down in the lobby although I never used it (went down to soi 13/1, great looking tg works there and only 1bt per mn), there was construction right next door but at the time no heavy machinery or noise, don't know about now. only stayed the two nights
  21. don't know if it's the best deal or not, but at a 100bt a day or 600bt a week you can rent a 125cc motorbike anywhere alone beach road or walking street all though they will require some form of security. always can lt a tg who has their own and save the hasel.
  22. thought you said you were leaving, anyway I'm not one to complain when a service is provide at no cost to me. I have to pay to get on go2phil and get less information then from even the open forum section. cann't please all the people all the time
  23. 11may04 US Today business section had an article on how all six us airlines have increased the number of international fights to pre- 9/11 numbers. although they are seeing increased travel volume internationaly they plan on raising fares because these are there only profitable routes as they are losing money on all domestic flights trying to compete with southwest and the other discount airlines. airline insiders suggest that people need to travel internationaly and the options are limited so fares are at a premium and will go up for the summer travel season.
  24. nothing better than a threesome in LOS have you added this to the kinkiest thread?
