Living together wth 2 Thaigirls?
mmaaarrrkkk replied to easyliving's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Pattaya is one of the few place in the world where the OP can get his request. But if you can get bored with 1 girl , am sure you will get bored with 2 in a few months. Just think of it as hiring two maids but hire them from the bars so sex is on the menu. However the cooking and cleaning skills might be on the downside not to mention the laziness factor! You might get away with 5kB a month per girl but the younger and prettier ones would ask much higher. If you are worried about them not getting along , choose one and ask her to pick a friend ; like the 3some advise. Thais alread -

HANGOVER 2 Agogo pub actual scene found.

If its the one he fired the M16 (or was it an AK?) , wasn't it Tilac on Soi Cowboy? -
The ones that can charge another 50% are those that usually cater to the tourist market. Kiss's on Soi Diana is smart ; it had a great location as well as a menu in english/russian(?) as well as pictures. Although the food sucks , its making tons of money!

Ask her or you could do it for her - put up some english words with some thai words (or pictures) next to them on a menu so it'll open up the falang market for her. I ate at the Greek food opposite her last Songkran and dont recall seeing the thai food. Maybe some bright english posters to liven the shop and make it easier to spot as well?

I used to think it was stupid as well to come to thailand and not eat thai food but everyone does their own thing for a reason. I thought A&W was a waste of time till my friend insisted on a rootbeer float at Central A&W (when Central was still brand new) and introduced me to the view! Thai food was a constant for every meal till I stayed a long(er) trip once and could kill for some home (some call it comfort) food. I now eat whatever my tummy calls out for. In fact there are some very good food from expat who decided to stay in Pattaya/Phuket and open up resturants. I discover

Hualamphong Train Station, Bangkok.
mmaaarrrkkk replied to firth1974's topic in Pictorial Travel Reports
thanks for the pictures. Despite all the crap allegations thrown at them by others , Thais can run an effcient service if they want to! -
There is a small shop at the end of the Diana Shopping Arcade closer to the beer bars. Ate there many years (5/6?) ago and it wasnt bad and it still exsist today! They must be doing something right. What i remember is that they used to have huge portions! Biggest misconception is that these tour groups are cheap. They can and will spend big when needed. Just becasue they dont spend on booze and women like we do doesnt mean they are cheap charlies.
-
Yeah you can still find cheap food of Pattaya 2000's .............. on the boarder with Laos! Geezzzzzzz 105B becomes 119B and .... to be honest i don't remember either! Try saying that when paying the thai cashier!

I made the mistake of ordering the dim sum there ; what a mistake! But then again to be fair , there is no good dimsum in Thailand. Havent tried the others but they look good and so does the view.
-
Yup , even the street som tam which most of us wont eat has risen in price. I dont like it as well but prices rise along with time. We cant be stagnant forever.
-
For a new experience , try the Hajime Robot resturant at Central. Unfortunately , I only noticed it had a 350B(?) buffett promo on my last day and didnt try it. http://hajimerobot.com/pattaya/en/main.php

Stupid thing to say really....... I try that many times with agogo waitress and always gets a big laugh! If cost was all important , why not take a slow merchant ship to Laem Chabang and then hitched a ride to Pattaya for your holidays. You can negiotiate to work for your ride instead of paying to fly on overpriced flights! Its all a balance and I find some buffetts are real bargins for the food they put out and the variaey you get to try. Examples are the old Apex breakfast , the 219B (sadly now 319B) Oishi hotpot buffetts that included sushi.

Agreed , a good breakfast for Pattaya mongers usually mean lunch! And a good lunch can last till nitefall

I dont think SIA flies into Phuket

I had the cashew chicken there once and it was terrble. Too sweet and taste like ketchup sauce to me. But their chicken rice is very good. Not tried the others yet :) Will do so just before songkran and then after!

foodie needs some buffet info in pattaya
mmaaarrrkkk replied to kratos's topic in Restaurants and food
The Fish is easier to get to but Ninja MooKaTaa on Sai 3 has better fresher food. Central has quite a few buffets ; including a steak buffet. You might wanna try Oishi , a steamboat buffett that allows only 45mins but has salmon sushi , ice cream and a few great drinks (green tea , coke etc). If you walk towards Drinking Street from Big C , you'll reach a 7-11 (or is it Cheers?) and they have a mini food court with KowKaMoo and KowMenKai as well as duck noodles , pad thai crispy pork etc. Its so cheap and the portions are small so it seems like a buffett! -
Thanks , i guess t depends on the weight as well as other serivces as well. Anyway , my quote was 12-24 months ago so most probably prices have gone up since then. Just curious , how many days notice must we give them? I would assume for non peak periods ........ 2 days? Maybe I'll just order one for FLB's staff (and me off course!) one of these days for the fun of it but I have to have first pick of the parts!

Thats very cheap for 20 people but I thought it was cheaper! I rememeber a bar quoting me 2500 last or the year before.

Pattaya’s Real Estate Market – A Review
mmaaarrrkkk replied to Gabor's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
This has been said many times but the thai economy still keeps on rolling along stronger and stronger than before. Many (not just this topic) view things from western eyes and dont see that aisa is a different market. True , its all inter-connected and if the EU and USA both fail , aisa will take a big bad hit but will still survive. China , India has had double digit growth for many years now while Indonesia and Thailand have sligthly lower than that.
