Not really a fair comment. Have you ever tried to look at things from the other side? Falangs also look unfriendly to russians , chinese , indians as falangs only smile to thai girls! Add a language barrier to that and both sides will think each other are boring and unfriendly. I am sure if the language barrier was broken , you'll see the whole people differently. Thais looked different when we first visited Thailand ; didnt they?

I prefer to have a buffet breakfast in the lobby with newspaper and people watching ; and see what the nets caught last nite when many have their beer goggles on! just stayed there for a week during the songkran festival. Everything was great. A nice hotel with a nice price. Wifi was strong and they have 2 PCs in the lobby just in case. Newspapers daily , nice pool with nice resturant attached. Staff was great too but i noticed they like to hired cute girls wth barces! Only two downside I can recall 1) have to walk around the hotel to Soi Baukow ; cant they have a side door thru the un-used plot of land or the jungle/forest? 2) After reading of the thin walls here , I did noticed that the doors were thin and one can hear everything that goes o

I arrive on the 18th as well as based on past experiences , it'll not be normal but it wont be as bad as the 19th. Just going by Bell's service , you will see that even the local businesses are expecting 19th to be jammed. It not just the extra cars and people but also the diverted traffic as Beach Road will be closed in the day time 19th April ; am to 7pm if memory serves me right.
