Hey Cookie, Even though I haven't stayed at the Jasmine I find reading your diaries very amusing. I reckon you could make a great Thai mini series "Jasmine Mansion", based on the lines of Melrose Place or even Fawlty Towers as Braveheart pointed out.

Shit the Dragon I stayed there on my first newbie trip about 8 years ago. Nothing fancy but it was cheap and comfortable. Had no probs with the place, when I was there they had small beer bars across the road and a small supermarket next door. Also could use the pool across the road, but I believe now that is where Lolitas is :) Yep Soi Dianna has definately changed since those days. So the price is now 650 bahts a night, seems a bit pricey unless they as you say have done it up a fair bit. Might have a gander when I'm in Pattaya next time.

Bargin just for 1hr50mins in Brunei. Hey Wombat don't know how far Bris to Brunei (I come from the better side of OZ) is but the secong leg of the trip is only 1hr 50 mins as well. Kev
