  1. Sitting here watching it now. Got to fancy Mickelson again, but I'm happy to see Appleby start well. But Katayama's hat would go so well with a green jacket.

place your bets... http://www.paddypower.com/bet BTW, I think one or two wouldn't have satisfied him. I understand he was into masses
  3. Mate, my clubs and I hit town on the 28th. Planning a few hits for the next week if you're keen. Prior to that, a few bars around town cater for golfers. Try Lewiinski's or the OK Corral or Shennanigans. I'm sure other boardies will know of others. Here's a link http://www.thebunkerboys.com/
  4. Welcome to the site Bertie. How long are you in town for?
  5. Precisely. Or caused a loss of face beyond the value of the bribe.
  6. Probably made the wrong person unhappy.
  7. LOL mate. Its good that you can still laugh at yourself.
  8. My ticket arrived in the mail today. Kuranda, I touch down five hours before you leave. Watch for me to wave as we pass each other on the highway. I'll be the one smiling. 60 days, but who's counting?
  9. Apparently Tim and Neil were playing the Royal Albert Hall in London last night. Nick Seymour flew in from Dublin and joined them on stage. Would have been some show. :crying
  10. Yeah. Neil had a gig in NZ last week at the King Kong party. After that I think he and Tim (Tum to Aussies ) are playing together on a tour of Europe.
  11. Kiwi BMs and music lovers generally; sad to report Paul Hester has passed on, apparently by suicide. His body was found in a park near his home in Elwood, a beachside suburb of Melbourne. He had told his family he was taking his dogs for a walk. Hester was the drummer with Neil Finn's band Crowded House, as well as spending time with the timeless band Split Enz. Both bands were claimed by Aussies as their own, although the Enz were really kiwis, and the House could be classed as either. Crowded House's recording of "Don't dream its over" was described by one US music magazine as the best ballad ever. RIP
  12. And you here because...? BTW, prostitution is illegal in Thailand. You clearly have us confused with somebody else.
  13. winston Easy to knock Man U (Manchavster U.) But bear in mind their recent success was based on a team with local talent. Two Nevilles (OK, one's a nuff), Scholes, Beckham (twat). Throw in Keane (thug) and Giggs and you have a team that at least plays UK players. And the recent big buys were Ferdinand, Rooney and Smith (and Heinze, who can't even pronounce his own name) Remember when Chelsea under Vialli fielded a team with NO English players?
  14. Guys, FYI the price I got had to be taken before May 31 (outbound). MAS showed the price on thier website, but it was hard to find a flight that qualified. I used Zuji as a search engine and tried a lot of dates before getting the one I did. Would have travelled earlier but all the seats on Fridays and saturdays were booked . The trick is to use Zuji but don't specify a date when you search. Then check the cheap fares for the dates you want. If you're flexible you can find something. My connection times out of KL will be interesting (only one hour coming home), but I'm saving the price of several LT's . Lemons, a couple of BMs are talking about a side trip to Sihanoukville based on the info in your TR. If your still in town and feel like coming along, PM me. Ash
  15. Martin Thanks for the opportunity to help. Donation sent. ash
  16. BTW, that fare could have been got $100 cheaper if I was travelling with someone else.
  17. Just booked for May/June on Malaysian. A$763 plus tax $130 ex Melb. Red-eye both ways, but that means I get into BKK at 11.00 am Saturday and leave at the very civilised hour of 5.00pm Sunday. Always gone Thai before, but sick of their pricing run-around.
  18. gazza some more info on the members board. search under "sunshine hotel" posts in February
  19. Interesting stuff Wombat. Guess you don't see that at Boggo Road.
  20. SlipSlop Have a look at Zuji. PA have flights Mel-Man-Bkk and return for $920 plus tax. Probably easier to use an agent to organise the stopover. http://www.zuji.com/zuji/home/1,,ZUJIAU|a|1,00.html
  21. SlipSlop Yes, PA do come to Oz. Check out their website. They had some good deals about two years ago but I haven't tried them for a while. Might be worth trying a cheap Mel-Bkk ticket and buy Bkk-AC in LOS. Get yourself a debit card (charges free) to back up your credit card. Have a credit card with low limit, but pay into it so your in credit before you go. I've got three cards with Westpac and CBA; Master, Visa and Cirrus. I'm pretty sure Cirrus is the one thats NOT good to go. Remember to take your card out of the ATM. LOS machines give you the money first, then the card, not like here in OZ.
  22. Very Jealous. The best I can get right now for a poxy 9 hour flight is around $1000 (415 gbp...I just realised I don't have a pound symbol on my keyboard). It would only be a fraction more to go to Rome or Paris. Lose out on the P4P though.
  23. Flew with them once. Never again.
  24. Wombat Go placidly amidst the noise and haste.
