  1. Me neither. Maybe they need to come up with some way to promote the place.
  2. Dammit I'm getting jaded. All I can think of is that she won't have a phone ringing while she's on the job. Sue me.
  3. I think Mick might have an opinion on that as well!
  4. The one with the pool in front is Golden Crab. I stayed at Inn House a few weeks ago. Agree with the noise comments...not from the construction sites, but the room next door. Had a paper-thin adjoining door which disguised nothing!
  5. I've replied you in the other thread.
  6. I've had some interesting ambit claims from girls lately. Two girls who wanted to go together but said said they had to leave early; we negotiated a time of 11.00am. We were all reasonably happy with that as LT. Another girl from the same club who had to go by 6--7.00am, and she called that a ST. A girl from a go-go in Pattayaland who said she had to go by 7.00 and insisted it was LT and wouldn't drop her rate, and the bar backed her up. Needless to say, they didn't enjoy my custom then or in the future. Shane, I'd say 12.00 is a reasonable expectation. Most girls will sleep b
  7. I bought a set of knockoffs last month and had no problem...in fact I was damned happy with them. If the guy opposite the RG is still there he may be able to advise you. If you're not playing more than a few games it may be easier to hire. Who are you playing with? The boys at Lewiinskis or the Haven or any of the other regular comps can set you up cheaper than hiring on course. Or PM boardie Doghaus. (If you play with him, make sure he's got clean breeks.)
  8. I had a look at this place last month with a view to staying there at Xmas. Rooms looked excellent and Kevin was very affable. Unfortunately, he was already booked out for high season, which I guess means he's doing something right.
  9. Callum, did I mention... .....not to hire out my clubs to any of those overpaid, oversexed, overhere types? Don't want to give them too big a head start.
  10. Alex off holidaying on the French Riviera is he?
  11. I can't believe that's legal. Reminds me of the fella that teed off, his ball sliced into the trees, two little wings popped out of it and it sailed back onto the fairway. Next shot was a duck hook that went into the water, a little propellor appeared and the ball zoomed across the surface and rolled up onto the short grass. Then his approach shot was a skinny that was going way too long, when a parachute came out of the ball and it floated gently down next to the pin. Tap in birdie. His partner was gobsmacked. "Where did you get that ball?" "Oh" said the guy, "I found it."
  12. They may have recourse. It will not be instantaneous. And their holiday is screwed. That's the point.

  14. Depends what flight you get. Thai have a direct to Brisbane three times a week, I'd guess about 7 hours? If you need to break the flight try a search on Bkk-Darwin, then swap planes.
  15. Thats a good price. If you don't mind being treated like cattle, you can often save a bob using Malaysian out of Melbourne, but the direct flight on Thai is a bonus.
  16. Have you called it before without problem?
  17. try this one as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9W3IMJCksDc
  18. I know I could do it several lifetimes ago when I was a public servant. These days, small private company, I'd be checking the fine print.
  19. My regular flight gets in around 11.00. I prefer to have a cab arranged, although its slower than grabbing a cab on the concourse, cos the car park is so fucked-up. Have a room arranged for two nights, let them know your arrival time and they'll wait for you. The big hotels...Sunshine, Flipper, Eastiny...will have 24 hour check in anyway, but its comforting to be expected. Then you step straight out into Soi 7/8 and whoopee.
  20. Last two trips both on E-tickets. One with Zuji, on Malaysian, one on the Thai website. Both times only showed the passport, although they are entitled to ask for the credit card. Also a good idea to have a second form of photo ID, just in case. I print off the email (Just highlight and print the relevant bit)and carry it in my bag. Never needed it.
