The VA has done both of mine and as mentioned, the prep is the worst part. If you decide to use the VA,be warned that you cannot drive yourself or use Uber or LYFT. Your driver must stay at the facility the entirety of your visit. Hope it works out whichever option you choose. They even provide the bowel cleaning mix which looked like Kool-Aid. "Now the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a new drug that could make preparation for the screening easier. Called Plenvu, this liquid drug is designed to replace the traditional, poor-tasting bowel cleaning liquid that patients drink to prep their systems for a colonoscopy".

All of these are 2 layers with a pouch inside for a 3rd filter if wanted. 1 guy I know trims a coffee filter to fit in the pouch but that's way over the top.Mine go in the wash.

Or wash it. I wash all of mine with my laundry.

"But this shows that the arguments brought forward by the legacy airlines in the western hemisphere why they aren’t offering any/very limited F&B anymore are nothing but foul excuses in order to push through their cutbacks in order to save money all while the fares remain the same or even went up due to reduced capacity". https://loyaltylobby.com/2020/10/04/budget-carrier-thai-smile-airways-manages-to-serve-hot-meal-beverages-during-55-minute-flight-in-economy-class/?omhide=true

As you're aware in the US,finding a job during the pandemic is more difficult now than ever for this generation. Also,we've heard for the past 6 months that 25% of small businesses that closed will never reopen. Not to mention the larger businesses that won't reopen either-unsure what that percentage is. I hope all of them find work on a steady basis but the outlook is grim.

Apple Stores just recently reopened in US. I'm not sure if the classes & workshops have resumed yet but my guess is no.

Since you mentioned condoms,I just saw this a few days ago. Police seize 345,000 used condoms that were cleaned and sold as new (Viet Nam). 1 of several sources.https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/24/asia/vietnam-condom-sold-new-scli-intl/index.html Thanks for this update. Always a hoot. It brightens my outlook for returning in late Spring.

Unsure. It opened w/o issue when I saw the topic on Apple News app. If you google the thread title, you will see it's available from several sources. -

Our difference is ~5 hours flying. I'm turning from optimist for late April arrival to pessimist lately. I can delay the trip to later 2021 but after that,I'll stay in this hemisphere but like Porsche said decades ago, there is no substitute. I may give the DR a try in a few months as it's just opening and of course, Mexico has always been good to me as a visitor and ex-pat. So god that I'm considering moving back the my lease is up here. And like you,I have appreciated the experiences there that can't be replaced, as are as we try.

When I was about to finish my reservation on United, there was an offer for medical coverage for the duration of my itinerary. It was under $100 IIRC and from a well known insurer. I'm not sure I can still take it after the fact but it's worth looking into. I'm on the phone with my Blue Cross agent tomorrow and I'll ask her about coverage abroad but I'm pretty sure I know the answer. Along the lines of what you mentioned about payment w/o coverage, there was a US black couple in Mexico a few months ago who were held captive,so to speak, and not permitted to leave to country. Eventually their plight went viral and a famous black entertainer heard of their plight and paid their bill so they could return home. That was nearly my plight almost 4 years ago (3 days before the election) when I was in Mexico City for a 4 day visit and had a stroke while asleep. I was aware when I went to the bathroom at 7am on the morning I was departing. My right side was nearly useless and the entire right side of my head was numb but my vision was unaffected. I tried to go downstairs for breakfast but that didn't work well. I managed to shower, shave and dress my self in about double the normal time. I wasn't aware at the time that there is a drug or shot that can be taken w/i 4 hours of the stroke that can stop further damage and reverse any damage it had caused. But it only applies to a certain type of stroke (not mine though). Had I been aware,I would have gone to the hospital there and sought treatment but I did not. Of course I would have been in your situation w/o coverage. It took almost 14 hours to get home and I spent 3 or4 nights in the hospital before a full recovery. I was fortunate. My Father had the same type of stroke at the same age and his recovery was a full 6 months. I realize BOTH of us were very fortunate. As an aside, when I lived in Mexico,ex-pats could basically buy into their Medicare system for a reasonable amount that was ~$500. But you have to be on a certain type of visa to qualify. Many I know there think it's a good deal.
