  1. So, has anyone partaken of the services of Mrs Ya? Any feedback?
  2. Loy Krathong on the darkside can be fun. When I lived on the darkside Pong had a local festival. Each Moo (village) in Tambon Pong made a Krathong. They were all displayed in the area beside Lake Mabprachan, There was dancing competitions and every villager and their kid were selling their hand made version of Krathong to all and sundry. If you have a vehicle it would be worth having a look to see if they are having a festival there. ( A good excuse to do a quick crawl in the lead up to the festival ) You can then pre-book some companionship to suit.
  3. Ukraine has a few political and social issues away from Kiev, if I am to believe the news, especially nearer the Russian borders. A lot of stuff in the news here following a plane being shot down and a bit of a civil war. Is there anything showing of that in Kiev? We also got information about the locals upsetting the Russians by giving some soviet era statues an interesting paint job making them look like Marvel superheroes. They would make for some great photos. BTW desert looks good.
  4. Cost a little more than 150 quid to get there from here. What was your main? It looks tasty. (So does desert) BTW your colouring skills need a little work.
  5. No actual clip for this yet, but a great rendition of an old song.
  6. I see you found the place for refugees young Arnold. Greetings
  7. It seems from they are still working on the same area. It is nearest to where the water authority has their pump points. They were dumping the soil in an area to make some "park land", The last time I looked it was a very Thai job with trees being planted but no real system to the park. Pong TAO is on the north west side of the northern end of the lake. The "sports ground" where they do aerobics in the evening is opposite the Tambon Administrative Office.
  8. In 2006 (or 05?) you could walk across Lake Mabprachan. It is reputed that the authorities "discovered" a number of human bodies in amongst the mud. In2007/08 the water authority decided they needed to increase the size of the lake and spent some months digging the end around the Pong Tambon office. There were trucks full of dirt going up and down the road from early morning till late Trashed the road. It seems that was not as resilient as they had hoped.
  9. I guess you did not get out much during the day. Great photos by the way. Thanks for taking the time to post.
  10. Good to see refugees are given equal opportunities. So where do they go to sign up for all the benefits? Who do we have to rub up to in order to get these benefits?
