How long did you have to wait for the ATM card and the account being active?

I have the opportunity to fly to and from Europe using Swiss Air however there seems very little written about them. I realise that there is a reasonable break with the above flight but I can handle that. I would however be interested in hearing back about what people thoughts are about this Company, planes, seats, meals, drinks etc as I know nothing about it as it does not fly from my home country.

Nothing at all wrong with this idea and I did used to use it but then thought that I would rather visit BK from Patts rather than stay there. For me the issue is the night life. I really cannot say that the big three, Nana, Patpong or Cowboy are as good as I can get in Pattaya and they are more expensive. In addition to this they are well spread out and travelling about in trains at night is not everyones cup of chai. The other issue about the great cultural places in BK as well as say Chatachak. To be honest, once was enough for me but then its always up to you--this is Thailand!

A point here. Its only 90 minutes or so from airport to your Pattaya Room-if that and that is really only 50/60 more with compared with going to Bangkok. I usually get in the back and as I cannot sleep on planes I get a nap in the cab and then I am ready to roar when I get to Patts. I spend longer travelling than you and its just no issue.

The answer to the OP is simple. DO NOT book in there first thing. Take a room somewhere for a couple of nights and have a tour of the place. The reality is that there are great rooms, good rooms and crap rooms and you will have to pay top dollar if you want the top class experience, The issue is this; only you can decide what is value for money. Its a great location but I want a large pool, peace and quiet and at a reasonable price. No one can tell you the room rate because you have not said when you will be there or what facilities you want. Its all a bit of guess work unless you do the work yourself.

Well I am counting down to the new year because on the 1st of January I will be able to say, " I will be in Pattay next month" and I am only sorry that I wont be in Patts for the celebration.

I suspect that with or without a party on NYE your going to be packed. Seems that Windmill has regained its spot as 'Flavour of the month"

Yes but I like the erotic with the 'healthy' and this is why I can see the merit in the idea. There is however the little lady in Thailand who tells me that massage places are out on my next visit (she has learned how to use the phone buy the way, thanks) and that there will be nothing left to give!

I think that compared to most places your ladies are not at all bad and I would certainly give you a visit. I have a question. I ideally would like half oil and half Thai massage. Am I the only one? is this something that you come across? For me massage is more than just having baby oil on my skin and its more than juat having my joints pulled to hell. Does that make sense?

Yup. OK. Its late here so off to bed but I will add to the thread by saying similar to you in that I only went once and never had the desire to go back, so in the end I guess that the whole thread can be seen as rather counter-productive.

Correct I did say that about Rose Apple and its because I just see this as another bit of free advertising. I mean just look at the title " How can you beat crazydaves". This was a statement and not a question and it seems that there is some sort of desire to keep these sort of threads running and with no new information. The reality is that for a lot of boardies you CAN beat Crazy Daves but for my money threads like this should start and end in the business section where they belong as that is in essence what they are about and who they benefit. As for favourite places, well I have already today in another thread on Soi 6 mentioned Jimmy Macs but as sure as hell it isnt worth a thread on its own, but which I felt was a reasonable addition to the thread. If you see a pattern of me disgreeing with some of the threads that seem to go on forever selling a specific businesses in Pattaya ( and they are not in the business forum) and its not acceptable then so be it.
