United BKK-NRT possibly being eliminated 3/30/2014
BigDUSA replied to MM's topic in Airline Discussion
I'm surprised UAL would drop the NRT-BKK flight. Plane is usually at near capacity when I've flown this leg. -
I travel with my mobility scooter and a car trunk will not work. I need a mini van or station wagon. The scooter breaks down to three manageable parts. Any reasonable suggestions welcome.

Good luck. Do you offer draft beer?

I'm against government subsidies for Airbus as well as Boeing. Both companies are screwing the taxpayer. -
6 dead in Pattaya Ferry accident

For one reason or another. The local government chooses to ignore regulations. Lack of enforcement is a killer. -
6 dead in Pattaya Ferry accident
BigDUSA replied to Chris100UK's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
One of the things I love about Pattaya is the lack of rules and government regulations. One of the things, I hate about Pattaya is the lack of rules and government regulations. People die and others get regularly scammed by the jet ski mob. I weight the good and bad and I still come. -
Worlds colliding: Russian girls in Pattaya
BigDUSA replied to nickman70's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Evidence was presented by both sides on my diner with Henry and Yuri way back in 1972. I was stationed in Saigon and was invited to a number of social events. Up to you, if you believe or not. -

MM, I have many trips to Pattaya to back up my experience with streetwalkers and bar girls. One should always use extreme caution when dealing with these ladies. Any other advice is foolish. Btw let's not forget you backed up one of my various proofs I brought to Pattaya. Thank you for your support. -

The short answer is yes. Dealing with streetwalkers is always dicey. We don't have a clue on their mental state or if they are using drugs. -
Personally, I think opening a western bar/restaurant in Pattaya is a losing proposition. Way to much competition and the demographic makeup of visitors to Pattaya are against you. Easy to see the change. Just take a walk down Walking Street at night. Stop by the FLB and talk to MM. He has a good handle on what's going on in Pattaya. Plus he's not looking to sell you anything.

I'm flying business class on Delta next trip to LOS. I've flown business class before in their refurbished cabin and it's first rate. Lie flat seat in a individual cubicle. Way better then economy. I'm flying on a frequent flyer ticket. I refuse to pay the outrageous premium the airlines charge.

I would stay in a hotel for a couple of weeks. During this time I'd start my research in renting a condo for a year or so. I'd continue my research and at the end of a year renting. I'd make my decision.

Few years ago, I met two middle aged college professor from one of the stans. Both spoke excellent English and were friendly. I talked with them for 30 minutes or so and enjoyed the conversation. -
I've used Mr T a number of times. So far no hassle with the driver or car. I plan on using his service next trip.

If they provide good service and a product that lives up to it's advertising. Why not pay them a reasonable fee?

Salsa and chips used to be served without an additional charge.

I'm not that familiar with the America's Cup race. I consider a 7th consecutive victory amazing. Well done.

I always found the toilet to be basic but clean.

Honey Baked Hams. My favorite place to buy a spiral cut ham or a very nice ham based lunch.
