  1. I'll wave when I'm leaving Miami. OnMyWay, I'm not accusing you of anything, I like to check out what I buy. brotherbuzz, If I were selling, I like your suggestion. Since I'm buying I prefer my way.
  2. I'm going on a 19 day cruise from Miami to Seattle next month and I'm thinking of buying a Nikon D40x before I leave. Once again it's nice to know and somewhat weird that you have the time and inclination to root through my previous post to know what camera I own.
  3. This is the PM I got from OnMyWay: Which lens are you interested in? I won't be in Pattaya but I can have someone bring the lens to you there. I have paypal, let me know. Cheers, Mark Let's see if I got this right. The "someone" Mark sends the lens to Pattaya can meet me at Sky-Top if the timing is right and I'm in town from May 8. I check the lens out and have a roll of film developed and if I'm satisfied with the product. I pay for it and the guy delivers it. If the timing doesn't work out drop it off at Sky-top and I'll check it out and then pay for it.
  4. Good read. Sounds like what the Philadelphia cops go through. Cops hate going on a domestic dispute call. They consider this the most dangerous assignment they can have.
  5. It's almost funny that I get shit because I'd actually want to check the mechanical and electrical operation of the lens before I paid for it.
  6. No.
  7. This is the PM I got from OnMyWay: Which lens are you interested in? I won't be in Pattaya but I can have someone bring the lens to you there. I have paypal, let me know. Cheers, Mark This is why I said drop it off at Sky-Top as you said you have someone coming into Pattaya and if our timing didn't work out drop it off and Pete would hold it for my arrival. If this didn't work for you fine but you didn't need to get shitty about it.
  8. I'm interested in the Nikon 18-55. If you need to drop it off before I arrive, I'm staying at Sky-Top and can arrange for Pete the owner to take delivery and hold it till I'm in country. Once I take a roll of film through the lens, I can use paypal to pay for it.
  9. I'm interested and will be in Pattaya from 8 May.
  10. If we can't the rest of the world is in for one helluva ride. Personally, I think were in for a severe recession maybe last 18 months then we pull out of it slowly.
  11. Sorry about that. I went back and modified my answer as I felt it was to snippy but I wasn't quick enough. Many times I've recommended other properties if I felt they fit the OP needs. Yah know it's kind of funny all the other places I've recommended MUST be perfect as I've never heard the level of whining with these other establishments. I especially enjoy the comments from guys who never stayed or bothered to stop in.
  12. Say no more, I will make a response to MM comments then from now on I'll refrain from making comments about Sky-top unless asked. Guy asked a question and since his budget is limited, I figured my answer would be useful as Sky-Top is in his price range. If he said his budget was 20-30K I wouldn't have answered.
  13. I like Tropical Bert's it's even closer to soi 6 then my favorite guest house. Clean with AC, TV, fridge and in room safe. Bert serves good pub grub at a reasonable price. I eat breakfast there almost everyday I'm in Pattaya. I haven't stayed there but I've gone through the rooms. www.tropicalberts.com Yensabai Condo near Walking Street. Huge studio with kitchen, 25"TV, AC, in room safe. I've stayed there a few times and felt it's very good value for the money. www.pattayarentaroom.com
  14. Sounds like our boy needs a long time out as his "tude" needs a serious readjustment.
  15. Once again I can only answer your simple question with the following: I don't own the high quality guest house on 2nd Road near Soi 6. I don't set pricing nor do I set policy and procedures as I'm a guest NOT A OWNER OR PARTNER IN ANY BUSINESS IN PATTAYA. I have no idea what the monthly pricing would be. The person best able to answer that question is the owner of the high quality guest house and you can reach him at www.skytopcenterpattaya.com for up to the minute prices and policies.
  16. I know one high quality guest house on 2nd Road near soi 6 that includes water and electric in the monthly discounted rate. Plus the room is cleaned daily. Discount varies depending on the time of year and how long one will be staying.
  17. Hey it's a $14USD per night guest house and if your expecting the Four Seasons your in for a big disappointment. No it's not perfect but it's clean and only minutes from Walking Street.

  19. You may want to consider renting a new house in a gated community. Last December I check out a couple of these and was surprised at the large number of for rent signs. Two and three bedroom furnished homes one with a swimming pool were available for 10-20K per month. There are many "deals" available as Pattaya is way overbuilt.
  20. Why not apply for a UAL credit card and receive 21K free air miles? Lot cheaper then paying $500.
  21. [quote name='Sailfast' date='Mar 8 2008, 10:48 AM' post='547688' Does every thread have to come around the fucking Skytop????????????????????????? Some guys on this forum are just fixated with Sky-top and can't stop talking about it.
  22. Sounds like a good plan to me. The more guys that take a look at a quality guest house especially one at the $14USD per night price point........... I'd suggest calling Pete before hand and let him know your coming as I'd like to point out the deal is you have to go through Pete to get the FREE beer and you have to take a tour of Sky-Top. His phone number 087-1501905 www.sktopcenterpattaya.com BTW the FREE beer offer ends April 30, 2008.
  23. Boeing learned not to relay on European suppliers that said they could do the work but couldn't. Sort of reminds me of a "business consultant" on this forum.
  24. I've stayed at the Sheraton a few times and enjoyed my stay. Great location overlooking the harbor. I can say it's a couple of cuts above where I stay in Pattaya.
