gents it looks like i am going to take one for the team my carrier in th USofA, Cingular will give me a Sierra Air card unlocked or not, will bring to LOS will use EdgeThailand to set it up will post reports here i understand the connection will be slow howeve, at Midnite thailand/10 am in my USofA office i wake up ( yes ladies, i am asleep at that hour....usually) wake up to find no connection in my room get dressed go down stairs try to get the connection to work etc also, if i am on the road, or hotel bouncing to avoid women (last trip, 11 nites in country, 5 check ins 5 check outs, 3 cities) might make it a little more conveintent also as just a back up as for the signal strenght, the air cards have a antenna port will get the external antenna also any other info or First hand knowledge, please post there best bw

I am clearly in the minority here For me, it is THAIland for me that means THAI food maybe is it because i go to a dozen funerals a year or more, the deaths, directly a result of Western food the mental picture of a Hottie at Kiss food eating Thai food and the BigGut Farang w/ the plate of western food comes to mind dont get me wrong, i love ALL crap food however......

below is just my experiance i called the embassy in LA got a american on the phone had a long chat drove to the embassy in LA was told a different story if you read the board(s) you will find: each embassy/consulate treats the rules different no matter what country they are in the offices in Thailand all treat them different ie: bkk, pattaya, etc the officials at Suwanapumi are the most mixed up and on this board alone there are probably 20 different answers by "experts" with "first hand" knowledge here is what i did: i paid $50 to the consulate for a 2 entry tourist visa must be used in 6 months each entry can be for 60 days, and one 30 day extension this is treated differently than a "visa on arrival" i am reasonably certain that i can get in to Thailand i used this visa on my trip in march the staff looked at all my entry dates ( many ) called a buddy over counted the days, etc. i kept pointing to the Visa in my passport they were convinced that i could not come in because of the new rules a third guy came over and agreed to let me in rember: T.I.T (this is thailand) fyi a small story in January, i had about 3 hours to kill at Suwanapumi i talked to FIVE different officials i got FIVE different answers

gents this was my experiance April 2nd and 3rd 2007 i need to open a thai corp for tax reasons in the USA also was enquiring about different visas for me and getting new fiance visa info Went to the main office in Bkk waited and waited put in crummy room (had appt) spoke w/ a canadian guy, not an attny he didnt know much the "Fiance Visa Expert" did not show spoke w/ the "managing director" a morbidly obese, sweating, wrinkled shirt gent he pitched his services was told very clearly that NO money up front collected to start the Fiance visa (as the TG must get a list of stuff first before the forms are filled out) reguarding corps and visas: was given a price list that was MUCH different that what they put in the newspaper gave me 100% different information than the Thai Embassy in Los Angeles went back the next day for my appt w/ the Fiance Visa Expert turns out she has only done ONE then the canadian guy wanted all the money up front! just my experiance

never had a problem upgrading using miles on TG have done over phone in person in pattaya and bkk
