(why the 5 sim cards? all my regulars know that i Live in USA, work in Singapore sometimes, and they are used to me waking up and going to the Airport because have work in Singapore. I use this to broom a keeper without burning my bridges. have a mate has stayed there a few times i have been there to meet up w/ him nice place, HOWEVER: kind of a clicky place as noted he felt uncomfortable dragging multiple girls up to his room the "disapproval look" was the issue good location though...

My July trip: (i dont get to book up in advance, but i get to go every 6 weeks :) China air = $1,350 Thai =$1,850 thai just added a $300 fuel surcharge expect others to folllow i would not be surprised if ticket holders already issued for later this year get hit up with surcharge however, if you can book and buy now, it makes sense then again, if you have to take multiple legs and lose FF miles is it worth it? solution: stay longer to get the most Pussey for the air ticket cost

Just quoted $1,843 for July on Thai air apparently on 23 june they added a $250 fuel surcharge

5 flights a year and you are THINKING of getting a FF pgm buddy wake up i am wheels up 31 may for my 50+ trip in 7 years i know a little bit about this stuff because i am blessed to have a couple of extra baht i can fly who and when i want i have done, United, Thai, EVA and China I fly from Los Angeles, california to Bkk I now only fly Thai Why: I can get the seat i want (There are 4 economy seats that are as good as business class, except the seat tilt angle) I can buy ticket from my consolidator last minute without a huge cost I can change my ticket when in LOS for no charge over the phone with an english speaker (go home early because of work (rare), extend stay to slut around more (often) (last month i changed my ticket 3 times, no charge, all over the phone) One xtra bag (no value for me, as i only do carryone and ck one box of gifts on inbound flight) Private check in counter, make sure i get the seat i want Board early ( YES i am a snob, but also get to pick where i store my luggage ) Every year i get: One free full upgrade from Economy to Business Birthday special which is equvilant to the above that is two full upgrades at no cost Free bump in class on availablity if you are polite and ask (i average a free bump every third leg) Nice lounge in LA and BKK Can use Star Alliance lounges when i travel in USofA Overall it works for me Oh, and the flight is direct even if i was on a big budget, i would still fly Thai for instance in 2006, bought 3 round trip China air tickets, Bkk-LAX-BKK for $500 USD each great price, lots of restrictions used one ticket no problem the other two i had to make changes and the surcharges doubled the price not to mention treking to the freaking airport to make the changes JMHE (for you detractors, not my issue your experiance is opposite mine

I have stayed across the street, oh, 15 or 20 times at Sunshinve Vista Dont know about the hotel rooms, only the ST rooms they are not bad The resturant has great food and the Ladies a mixed bag, just like everywhere i have pulled some real talent there and always great performers bw out

Gents I know some of you are big fans of pre arrainging travel from or to someplace I am just courious to know, since taxi's are available aplenty, why hassel with trying to set up in advance?? Bkk to Suwannabumi meter taxi right out your front door Suwannabumi to Pattaya or Bkk out the departure gate Upstairs to arrival Grab a cab deadheading back Pattaya to Suwannabumi Plenty available YES you get some nutters But i have the same number of nutters/speed deamons with pre arrainged cars also I cant get reliable service in Los angeles to pick me up at home or at the freaking airport I personally have given up trying for pre arrainged in LOS i travel alone so i am also a bit more flexible and travel only with carry on and only cary my own bags JMHO

Walking UP soi 3 toward Big C, there are several street carts have eaten at all of them at big C downstairs there are two thai resturants, one Thai Thai, and another off to the side both good, also black canyon upstairs serves a mean Pad thai and great coffee Crossing 2nd rd toward big c again go to the right or toward walking street same side as big c, in the street again several street carts same side of street, toward WS and Alcazar is another slew of open air resturants sunshine vista, soi 3 resturant also good Welcom inn also has great food and desert and apetizers and snacks.... yes i eat on the street mostly dont have a problem think about getting your TG to hit the street and bring food back wtf, if you dont like it, you only wasted 20 baht i might throw in here, most TG's are uncomfortable in fancy places they will go, but in my experiance, they would rather eat outdoors or off the street at my apartment in Bkk, we have a nice cafe, meals 60baht, aircon, new place my fiance would rather go outside, up the soi and eat at a outdoor dodgey place same meal, 30baht JMHE, ( Experiance not Opion, O's are like assholes, everyone has one

i know a little about this.... (40+ trips) i have flown most airlines, and purchased in Thailand, flights originating there... i perfer to fly Thai air why? 1) i can walk into the Pattaya or Silom road office and extend my stay at no charge 2) i can usually extend by phone also 3) i know where i sit on the plane that works for me 4) every three trips, i accumulate enough for a free economy trip cost more in the short haul much cheaper in the long haul think you want to squeak in another 2 nites call your airline, and no flights, or wrong dates or HUGE charge i may pay an extra $200usd for my tickets, but when i can get an extra day or three.....good value..... i know many will now post that TG is shit, and this and that i have ALWAYS had a great experiance on TG, food, service, aircraft oh, and because i fly the same airline, i found the back number to the ticket counter and i get confirmed on the seat i want (exit row) they know me by name... jmho BW, over

last year i bought 4 rt tickets on china air flew USA to BKK on Thai air flew Bkk to USA then back to BKK on the 4 rt China air tickets flew BKK to USA on last leg before Thai ticket expired i paid about 500usd for the tickets saved money, would do again IF my travel dates are flexible i usually fly TG ( ThaiAir ) because i can change tickets easy by walking into the office in Pattaya or Bkk, and have even had good luck on phone i would never make a big credit card purchase online in LOS like with on line retailer jmho

This is why we have to take things here with a grain of salt (mate, not a windup, just facts) I have 46 trips to los 30+ to pattaya live in california, lived in Mexico for 10 yrs at Tequila Reef always have had great service always have had great food YMMV

I have only made 32 trips from California/LAX to BKK on Thai Air (another 6 on other airlines) so i may be wrong... first off: 1) i am not a fat ass, and fit in a regular seat 2) i can afford to buy the ticket next: Seat location is key for me economy vs prem economy the seat IS wider YES more leg room However: the seat does NOT go back much farther there is NO leg rest it is NOT a lie down sleeper for me, i will take a economy emergency row over prem economy any day rolling suitcase on floor in front of you feet up, VIOLA! lie down sleeper cant do that in prem economy how to get one: arrive 4 hours early, schmooze and have a TG gold card OR get lucky JMHO
