Call the Thai embassy in Portland, the lady there is very nice and gives good advice. I've delt with her several times and she has always been a help.

Looks a lot better now from when I was there several years ago, back then it was really run down and in pretty bad shape.

I have never been able to locate real whole cow's milk anywhere, yes they do have bottled milk but from what I can tell it's either not the same or made from soy or powder. If you know where it's available i would appreciate the tip.

Depending on how much experience you have with not only Pattaya but Thailand as a whole, you might try a one year vacation then decide if you would like living there on a permanant basis. Thailand is not the same full time as it is on a two week holiday.

Milk.....Can you even buy 2% cow's milk by the gallon?

That fare is for economy class from the midwest to LOS!

I don't really know what happened with the airline industry but it seems that in order to be able to purchase a ticket now days it requires a huge lotto win. We looked into possibly heading to LOS for a two week visit but when we checked the fares, I about fell over! For my family of four we were looking at about $8k in fares. Are people really paying these prices? I know costs have gone up but this is just stupid! Guess we'll be vacationing a lot closer to home this year.

My last stay there the dvd player was free but no dvd's available, you can however buy copies on the street very cheap. The padlock deal is actually better for your protection and that is a good thing. Hotel is a cool place for bringing hookers but not for a long stay, besides it is more expensive. The food in the restaurant was crap and I slept with a few dozen cockroaches but other than that it was fun! They also had free cd players.

What happens after the 21st? not the end of the world again is it?
