I was born and raised just outside San Diego, Ca and I'm pretty good at knowing authentic Mexican food, a lot of Mexican food is deep fried. True the street taco's are mostly soft shell tortillas but taco's are only a small part of Mexican food. One thing your right about is being limited on experience, last time I had Mexican food it was either deep fried or loaded with cheese. Thai food is not as healthy as most farangs seem to think!

I guess it's a good thing that at least they're making some repairs, unlike in Korat where they just let the holes in the road swallow your car!

Of course you could always have an agent run you around town all day and if you find something you like, bf a good English speaking bar girl and have a fun night then in the morning catch a taxi and bring her back to the house and have her ask the neighbors who owns the house and see if they have a way of contacting them.

Years ago Kiss was a pretty decent spot for a late night meal, I will however say that for the last 4 or 5 trips the food sucked and the service was even worse! not only do I love Thai food but I also know it pretty well.....The wife and I own a Thai restaurant in the States. Same here.....Looked for anything in December and they were all over $2k. I have to buy seats for four and can't justify paying that kind of money for a two week vacation. I am now looking at April, best so far is $900....still not going! Guys on here go on and on about paying 1k baht for pussy but never factor in the cost of the trip overall!
