Songkran fortress food. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Still no City water.. thanks to Songkran waste I'm thinking. We had a water truck come fill the tank, but it's a dirty brown and hardly suitable for bathing. Went out this morning at 7 am to hit Friendship, then Foodland to get ingredients for Irish stew and lemon butter chicken meals. Each should have six servings, so that should last us till beyond the 19th. Plenty of wine for me and whiskey for the wife and friends laid by, so we're good, I think. So far, I've not been out enough to get wet, nor am I interested in being the target of water/urine/motor oil/ice throwers. It sounds like it's pretty bad out there in places, especially Chonburi city (see quoted story below from PattayaOne). Me and mine are happily hanging out at the house, swimming pool is well-used..4 young nieces and nephews are here for school vacation..nice to have children around (for a while! ). Woke up today and the water tap was dry. It seems the city water stopped flowing into my village 2 days ago, and the tank just ran out. With Songkran traffic and many

Great American Sandwich Company on Soi Buakhao (Dec. 27, 2017)

They may have a low income period during Songkran. I know I'm not going to brave the water tossing on Soi Buakhao to get there. I really would like to have one of their sandwiches right now. As for failing, it's got everything going for it except parking and location...well, even the location might work for them with the adjacent bars and local delivery orders. Good VFM, service, consistent preparation, good ingredients, and knowledgeable owner on site. Oh, and the cheerleader -

Amazing that some think the traveller has to read that document. We leave it to lawyers and lawmakers to ensure that the terms are fair and reasonable and hope for the best. Just because United claimed they can toss you off a plane, doesn't mean they should do it.

Exactly! They tried to cheap it out by involuntarily removing passengers for a questionable reason without increasing the offers of compensation until the required number of passengers voluntarily accepted the offer. $800 or $1000 vouchers was not the best they could have done, and they're going to pay much more now for that mistake. Great American Sandwich Company on Soi Buakhao (Dec. 27, 2017)

Been three times now and it's great. I had the rib sandwich the first visit, the meatball sandwich, and finally the pulled pork sandwich. Service is excellent and two of the servers are quite cute to boot. My appetite is satisfied with their small sandwiches which run about 80 baht. My bills have been ludicrously low, especially considering the very high prices at Pastrami on Rye back in the day. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk -

From the LA Times...they really screwed up this situation. It would have been worth offering any amount of compensation to get volunteers rather than suffer the results of this negative PR. http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-hiltzik-united-video-20170410-story.html

This could be the best thing that's happened to the passenger. The compensation UA will have to pay him should be quite hefty. Good!

Is it a queen size bed? Most farts lose effectiveness after a few feet with adequate air conditioning.

You bring up point that I have been pondering since this project began. What's the benefit of this project?

I installed this program. It works on Windows and Linux too. https://sonarr.tv Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Neither. I automatically download dozens of series episodes using a Synology NAS and then watch at my leisure. Everything I download is HD quality, and likely better than streaming. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I finished the 8 episodes last night, and I found it to have all the elements of a good series...thoughtful and realistic dialogue, good characterizations, realistic family relationships with the associated problems of being unavailable much of the time, lots of good action, good casting. I was interested in all the equipment these guys carried into action, their use of it. It seemed realistic, though I'm not knowledgeable on modern wargear. I also liked what I considered a fairly even-handed approach to the politics of the story. Just a damned good series, IMHO.

Just started watching SIX last night and finished first 3 episodes. I'm impressed!

That's not the one near Secrets, as Billions said here. Illusions is the one being referred to, and it's now Dollhouse.

Let us hope this doesn't turn into a permanent ban on such devices in the cabin for all flights to and from all destinations. It's not inconceivable that the security state will pay no attention to convenience and comfort of the 99.999% of passengers that would be unaffected by any potential bombers. Also, if, as I have read, the current alleged battery bombs must be manually activated, there is bound to be an upgrade that will allow them to be activated by wifi or bluetooth from the passenger cabin while using the smartphone that IS allowed in the cabin. They should just go all the w

I was trying to avoid pointing out any nationality, but yeah.

Yeah, that's the one I was referring to above. If I recall correctly, it was touted as the smallest gogo in Pattaya. I doubt it lasted a month.

I think the shortest I've noticed was the tiny gogo next to Frog Bar...or perhaps the tiny gogo in the middle of the new Simon complex that was managed by a BM here
