  1. I went through a 30 minute procedure to install a clean 16.1 Kodi, then the ARES Wizard, then the PULSE add on or whatever it is. I did this following a youtube video (below). I restarted Kodi and nothing I had done was present...just a clean new Kodi. Very temperamental indeed. I also heard lanzalad's support site got shut down recently by his ISP due to the crackdown on unauthorized streaming software distribution. In my browsing, I also see that the MINIX X8-H which I have will never be compatible with Kodi version 17+...apparently they aren't going to update their Android
  2. Yes, I checked your post timestamp too, and was confused. So, it's all finished now Good.
  3. Browsing the Rotten Tomatoes review site, I see that the Handmaid's Tale (from Hulu) has achieved 100% critical acclaim and a very high audience rating as well. I'm downloading it now, but won't be able to view it until I get through Line of Duty seasons 3 and 4. It might be worth checking out Basic summary:Set in a dystopian future, a woman is forced to live as a concubine under a fundamentalist theocratic dictatorship.
  4. Worst series shock was when it was suddenly cancelled with no denouement. There's been regular discussion about resurrecting the series as a single movie to give it a conclusion. Cast commitments seem to be an issue. I would like to see how it would have turned out.
  5. Do you mean they have to close at midnight on Sunday night/Monday morning? I was thinking the early closure was only for midnight Saturday.
  6. Exactly! Here's the Soi Buakhao end of the Soi, just next to Triangle Bar.. Full of potholes, followed by the 3rd Road end, sort of paved and with less potholes. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  7. As mentioned above, there are "fees" involved that go to BizPay. I think the whole thing is dodgy as hell. It's like buying gift cards. When the business goes away, your credits go away. I'd look carefully into the people who are running the franchise here in Thailand.
  8. Saw him at Le Pub a couple of weeks ago. Everybody shows up there eventually! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  9. Where's this mushroom soup you go for? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  10. At the 3rd road end, it was almost a paved topping, then became gravel fill, then stopped completely before Canterbury Tales...that was a couple of days ago.
  11. I ordered many times from Country Favorites, and if it is the same cook, then I look forward to ordering from Naando's. The tandoori chicken was superb tasting, though I agree, that's a smallish half chicken.
  12. Ridiculous comment! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  13. My mistake on which season...reviewing my saved copies, the Kiwi heroin importer season was the 2nd season of the series. I do believe I will watch them again..it's been a few years. Yes, much worse than Pattaya gogos...
  14. That was the 4th season of the series http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/4483231/Underbelly-4-this-time-its-the-real-Mr-Asia Pattaya GOGO bars are much safer than any venue shown in this series
  15. As I understand it, if the app doesn't support tipping (and when I was in Bangkok last year, it did), you would tip with cash if you wished to. These guys drive better cars than I have, so I didn't bother tipping for the first few weeks I used them in Pattaya (app didn't have tip entry anymore). I have noticed that I don't have a customer rating (given by drivers...1-5 stars), so that might make my next requests for Uber rides less eagerly latched onto. My friend who does tip has something like a 4.5 rating, at the time I looked at it.
  16. Is it really like Underbelly ? Really, one of my all-time favorite series.
  17. Why? Was it because he was looking older and more dissolute than in her early experience? Or was it the excellent perverse role they had given him? He did love his blowjobs
  18. Another taxi mob action in Pattaya From http://www.nationmultimedia.com/news/breakingnews/30315568
  19. Well, I have to back off my position that there isn't much violence in gogos. Tonight, at a well-attended gogo, 2 model dancers got into a fistfight.
  20. Given that it's produced by the Wachowski Sisters, who used to be the Wachowski Brothers, it is sort of bent towards their points of view. The kitschy and gay correctness do not abate as you go further into the series, so if that is what bothers you, best not proceed.
  21. The article says it is about "a glut of non-registered hotels and illegal businesses still offering cheap products and services to low-quality tourists" which includes guesthouses as well as non-registered hotels. They also go on to say "More than 2,100 buildings provide accommodation in the Pattaya market, representing 139,000 rooms. Of the figure, only 270 operators with a total of 40,000 rooms have registered as hotels." which sounds to me that they are making a case for the large proportion of buildings and room capacity that is not registered, i.e. illegal (40,000 legal vs 99,000 unre
  22. The registered hotels want to eliminate the guesthouses to discourage cheapo travellers coming to Pattaya and lowering the "quality" of the city's tourists. Obviously, they have the money and the clout to be listened to, and their profits go to the elites who have the influence and power in this economy and government. Does this mean a serious crackdown on unregistered accommodations will be the next big push to clean up Pattaya? I know that many of you come here and stay in these places. How do you feel knowing you aren't wanted, that you're considered a "low quality tourist" bec
  23. The first 4 or so episodes are setting up the character development. After the 8 characters in the cluster start to interact, it takes off. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
