The short answer is that Netflix has been blocking VPNs by IP address used by the VPN. This process started because of content providers not allowing viewers in some countries vs others. If you are in Thailand, you have to use a VPN to access the USA Netflix library, but if Netflix has blocked the proxy IPs used by that particular VPN, you are going to get that message. For a full explanation, and a list of VPNs that can still be made to work with Netflix, check this document https://www.comparitech.com/blog/vpn-privacy/netflix-proxy-error-here-are-6-vpns-that-still-work-in-2016/

What a laugh. Those signs, all written in Thai, have been taken down or hidden in most cases. When you do see them, and can manage to translate or identify destinations, they rarely conform to the mandated fares based on distance that was supposed to be adhered to. A complete waste of time and nothing but a sham clean-up. I still don't see any value in removing deck chairs and food vendors from Pattaya beach one or two days a week. No food or drink vendors, no umbrellas even allowed to be brought by tourists who go to the beach but don't want to get burnt to a crisp while there. Stupid.

Glad it's still being read. I read it when it came out in the 70's and was captivated by the book. But then I was a young idealist with nothing but philosophy (Persig, Sartre, Camus), oddball religions (Sufism), and psychotropic drugs (Carlos Castenada) on my mind...assisted by the burgeoning sexual revolution and the communal background of UC Berkeley for a thoughtful guy to get laid.

Steroid shots for the knee
MM replied to midlifecrisis's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
You could email them to find out if and how they would handle your case. I wasn't aware there was any messing with your spine. They're reputedly a very professional outfit. Wouldn't it be great if you could do the procedure at the beginning of your trip and be healthy for the rest and on returning home? -
Steroid shots for the knee
MM replied to midlifecrisis's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
An acquaintance of mine went through a stem cell therapy for his knee problems and said it was very successful. There is a clinic in Pattaya. http://www.surecell.com/ They claim to be able to treat the following problems: Most common Treatments that can be improved with PRP: Arthritis or osteoarthritis, especially those with degenerative knee cartilage A torn ligament Tendonitis Bulging or herniated disc Injuries due to sports or exercising (such “tennis elbow,” plantar fasciitis in runners, or common injuries affecting the rotator cuff) Sacroiliac problems Sciatica/sciatic nerv -

There's one in Bangkok? Yes or no wouldn't have been appropriate, but I did figure that if you wanted to know a Google search would be a good place to start. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Yeah, I passed on clicking accept, especially since there were no TACS available to read.I tried a German VPN site and again was redirected but only got a 6 digit number in the upper left of the page. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I got routed to this page when I clicked on a movie image. What's this mean? Looks like some AIS has inserted itself into the movie watching. I'm gonna try a VPN outside Thailand next. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I just add subtitles to the video. For one thing, it helps me spell some of the names, both people and places. They're usually available the day after broadcast on addic7ed.com (sp?). The first episode started off very well and bodes well for the writers advancing the plot into unwritten territory. I'm starting to think "who needs GRRM anymore. The lazy coot is useless. Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. – Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how it manifests: I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing. As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full. So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first.

We do have the Restaurants and Food section which is usually used for restaurant reviews. However, food can be sought, prepared, and eaten without reference to a restaurant. IIRC, I may have done a review on a butcher shop a few years ago that had quality meats that I used for my home cooking. Sadly, the butcher outlet has now closed. In fact, since this topic is about "SPAM", the FOOD, I am moving it to that section to hopefully seed the section for this type of topic. In the meantime, I will just post some pictures of some homemade meals

Maybe we should make a meals and cooking subforum. Honestly, I've perused this thread and, to my taste, haven't seen a single meal I'd try. Where is Idefix when you need a bit of decent culinary suggestions? Do we have any Italians to help balance out this horrid British food?

Already been done. Let's see if they can weather this round of enforcement and attention. They brought it on themselves by being so visible on social media, esp Facebook and Youtube.

Thin or medium crust...never deep pan. Toppings...sausage, pepperoni, black olives, mushrooms...never pineapple or chicken.

My missus and I watched "Dangal" the other night and both enjoyed it immensely. It's a Punjabi based movie, with English subtitles produced by the Disney Corporation. It's based on a true story about a father, a former wrestler at the national level in India, who longs for a son to carry on his wrestling abilities and achieve an international gold medal. Unfortunately, he has slow sperm, and only has girls, one after another, in spite of the spells and prayers suggested to him and his wife from the villagers. He has an epiphany, which I will not disclose at this time, that changes the

Internet 90 day reporting...broken for all or just me?
MM replied to MM's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I believe you do need to fill out the short form so you can get a bar code receipt. I might be wrong. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk -
Internet 90 day reporting...broken for all or just me?
MM replied to MM's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I find it strange that it is the only "service" menu item that is fully in Thai with no English whatsoever in either the menu title or the contents when that menu item is clicked. That gives me the impression that it is the lowest priority "service" they will offer. Luckily, the 90 day reporting in person has been streamlined with the barcode receipts to where it is a matter of minutes to get done. Thailand 4.0 -- bah! -
Internet 90 day reporting...broken for all or just me?
MM replied to MM's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
It looks like the Immigration site has been completely revamped now. For 90 day reporting, you need to go to https://immigration.go.th/content/sv_90day, but as of now, that page is all in Thai, even if you choose ENG as the language. Online reporting is not yet (or ever will be?) complete as shown below. Fuck ups take 1 step forward and 2 steps back. -

On the opening hours at 6 pm issue, recall that the bars on LK Metro were done for opening before 6 pm a while back. Those hours remain in force to the present day. Perhaps this really is the end of daytime fun on the six. I did go down Soi 6 today and many, tho not all, bars were open, but from what i was told, no alcohol was sold until 6. Girls, ST and soft drinks. Isn't that enough? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
