  1. What's this I hear about some English favorites on the menu?
  2. The PCX also has, what IMO is a nice feature (though I'm starting to think some will not like it either), an engine kill when the kickstand is lowered. So, parking wouldn't leave the ignition on. I have been known to leave the key in on occasion, but that is usually when I have to pop the seat to stow or retrieve something and then forget the key is in the ignition...not at all related to the battery or engine running, of course.
  3. I would take it to Amorn, in the basement of Tuk.com. They have a fairly wide range of repairs they can do onsite.
  4. I wonder if his disabling of the idle stop feature is based on actual first hand experience with having problems, or 2nd hand reports of problems, or just a theoretical pondering of the effects of running electrics off the battery while not charging. It seems the small sampling of those of us who have PCXs have not experienced any such problems. I'm sticking with my BIG OIL theory.
  5. With the exception of foot massages, of course.
  6. Kessaya is obviously in the pockets of BIG OIL!
  7. Silliness. I own a PCX, drive it every day, always turn on the idle-stop feature. I consider it a useful and welcome feature on the bike. I've never had any problems with the battery or the feature. I'm so lucky.
  8. Cute pun. The thing is, he's costing the customer money in gas bills. To date, I've never heard such a wacky complaint about the PCX. ODENSE, I recommend you rent from someone else if you don't like the guy disabling a useful feature of the bike you're paying a premium for.
  9. That sounds reasonable, since when you are stopped, the lights and electrics keep running off the battery, while the alternator is not running to charge the battery. My experience has not led me to believe that is a problem.
  10. Never heard of such a thing, and it won't modify my use of this superb feature one bit. I'd venture to say that the money I save on gasoline while I would normally be idling, would pay for a new battery easily over the course of the battery's life. I have no idea what he could mean about "ruining the batteries". When they fail to hold a charge, it's time to replace them. Is that ruined? Yeah, I suppose so.
  11. I get the feeling this was all written up by a westerner.
  12. I'm gratified to hear (as I have been hearing from one of my dining companions on my first and only visit) that the quality, presentation, and service have improved. It's good to have forums and FB groups where reviews can highlight areas of improvement for the restaurants reviewed.
  13. Well, that's good news, and good news for Andrew Drummond.
  14. The obvious best solution is to serve the sauce on the side. It works for both camps.
  15. Hopefully a picture is worth a thousand words here... In the picture below, click on the items (1)-(3) in that order, and you will see the password/email change screen.
  16. Yes, you can change it yourself via the My Controls thing in the upper right of the screen. In there somewhere is an option to change password and email, whatever you need.
  17. This would be best handled by a PM to me so we can sort it out. He's undoubtedly forgotten his password, and if he can't get it sent to him by the forum (there is a link for sending the password to your email if you've forgotten), then he needs to update his email address or the message is going to spam. I will need his current email and will reset his password if you send me the correct email address.
  18. It's in a new topic "How big is "large""
  19. Right. Only members (and above) can post photos. Keeps the spammers from loading up the system with junk.
  20. Put the photos somewhere where people can see them (photoshop or your own web site).

  23. Here's the after action report (the flooding, not atlas2's).. http://www.pattayaone.net/pattaya-news/151191/worst-flash-floods-of-the-year-hit-pattaya/
  24. I can vouch for their tortellini with ham and a cream sauce. It was very good...the garlic bread was not my style..I prefer the garlic to be cooked into the bread rather than placed on the bread.
