Gabor, I'm watching your posts in the group, and it's ironic that you are posting gogo bar staff pictures produced by the gogos themselves. Are you secretly a bar owner?

I'm on 3BB, so that's not the issue.

I can't say till Monday morning, since I don't watch live feeds until the NFL games come on. I was watching Al Jazeera America a day ago, and it did stop occasionally, so that might be an effect of the sluggish internet in Thailand.

Well, fuck you too.

Since I was talking about 81, not your newly identified 87, does it matter? 87 wasn't there at the time.
-
Isn't the "other" 81, really an "87"? The one who looks like the "fantasy doll" discussed earlier?

Opening party on 18th September
MM replied to Bushcraft's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Alas, my missus and I were planning on going, but by the time we got thru with an earlier engagement, it was close on 3am, and I was leery (and weary) about trekking down to Rhompo at that hour... I hope you had a good time, Bushcraft, and best of luck on the new venture. We'll have to have an after-shock party sometime to make up for it. -
I guess we've come a long way from "Spare the rod and spoil the child" (Samuel Butler 1662). The fact is that physical chastening, including the use of "the rod" (tree switch, paddle, belt) have been part of western culture until the late 20th century and no one would have blinked an eye over the injuries Peterson visited upon his son. This new awareness is new in my lifetime for example. As I was growing up in the 50's in now so enlightened Califonia, whippings, beatings, spankings etc were commonplace and to be expected...everyone knew that, everyone expected it if they were caught, and parents didn't meddle in how other parents were raising their children..unless they wanted a black eye and the censure of the entire community. I frequently (because I was a willful child) had to go retrieve "the belt" and submit to my punishment. I was also well hided by the school principal who used the wooden paddle with the holes in it (to prevent serious damage...ha! Didn't seem to make it hurt less). We also were generally mindful of the consequences of misbehavior, and I have to say, the threat of a good whupping did give pause to some of the more impetuous thoughts that might have been taken to action. Now, compare behavior of teens today vs the behavior of teens in the 50's...to me, it seems that every generation since the government and social workers started meddling with the family and circumscribing parents' ability to discipline their children, including corporal punishment, has gone downhill. Perhaps Peterson didn't get the memo about the changes since he was a child.

I'm a bit miffed about my inability to find a working stream for an NFL game Monday morning. I must have spent a half hour poking around trying to find one. Actually, I'm probably better off for not having seen the game anyway..it was a fiasco.

EP, I only tried the cod at whatever the higher price is...but if you didn't like the batter, then it doesn't make much difference what fish is inside.

Agent09 let's hope LBJ reads your post, since he was just staying there this month. He may have also answered your question in the post just above yours (#16), since that comment probably applies to the Metro Apts.

I thought this topic was about the 49ers ignominious loss to the Chicago Bears Sunday!

I really think you should contact our BM, Patna, to have better photos taken.

Evil, I haven't been to the GF...I'd read many favorable reviews from one person in particular in the old Facebook group "The Breakfast Club", but always opted to eat at Fryday's one or two doors up...everything I have had there has been very good...I've had the roasted half-chicken, the ribs, and the really good Cod Fish and Chips (180 baht I think, but worth it IMHO).
