  1. Yes. Your solicitors are obviously asking you to do the leg work for them. It is something they could do by simply instructing thai solicitors,or indeed by their own department if so qualified. However, you would pick up the fee. They may merely be giving you to option to do it yourself to save a few quid. In the event it cannot be done, there is little point having an order, ergo the no order principal applies and you can resolve certain practicalities to facilitate contact to mother between yourselves.
  2. You have UK representation,so it's not applicable to advise you specifically. Your solicitors will be able to remind the Court, with or without Counsel's opinion,of their powers, It appears that the no order principal should apply if you have agreed residence and contact and merely a specific issue application made to deal with removal from juristiction. Unless of course, the local authority has intervened and made an application for an interim care order or a guardian has been appointed for the child. In terms of enforcement,if an order were breached by you, your ex would have to apply afr
  3. Sorry to disappoint you soibj, the link you posted is to Bella Vista-the Eastiny Plaza is not on their web site yet. Azzey will have seen the actual photos by now,as he seems to have asked the same question on every board. All we need now is a report from someone who's stayed there!
  4. rascall-from their special deals page here Also worth bearing in mind that, subject to various conditions, westeast offer a price promise-namely that they will beat the price given elsewhere for exactly the same flight.
  5. Westeast travel are offering Eva at £310 for that period PLUS taxes etc. Guesstimating tax at £150 you're into the mid-£400s you paid before. They often have good deals on thai, but those not announced yet. Btw-phone for the best deals,as the site may not work...
  6. Try turning the mattress-they have a hard side and a soft side...
  7. Westeast £478.10. Thai direct, all taxes etc included. May.
  8. I've used them many times and never had a problem. Never a problem reserving a seat with them either and the confirmation email is sent promptly, followed by the tickets. I always book by phone though,as the website is sometimes a little out of date.
  9. A species of silverfish perhaps? They hide in cracks and crevices, particularly in walls or behind wallpaper. They like humid damp conditions. Eat just about anything, but can go a long time without food.
  10. Whilst not checked exhaustively, the 100 dose inhalers were readily available for salbutamol. Didn't see 200 on the shelves. The brown inhaler is not actually called "Beclazone" (as I suspect you know it as),so check the actual stuff is a preventative and not a reliever. Plenty of pharmacies around though,so you are sure to find it.
  11. Unlikely. I thoiught you would know, but Shark Bar became Lewinski's in April 2005 and now has been demolished. Quite happy to wait for you in Cherry Bar though.
  12. If you stay at the Bella Vista, you can use the pool at the Eastiny.
  13. Toom has cropped up on another board too... Apparantly the rate is inclusive of tolls. He has a lot of experience himself. You need to book at least a day in advance and he will do other destinations too. It is a large Toyota (he has a photo). No one asked about insurance there Unfortunately,I have no experience of hiring him,nor of anyone else who has. IF it is as he states,it does not sound too unreasonable,if you're the sort that hires a car from arrivals anyway.
  14. The Mayflower and pilgrim fathers is all a myth. We put all religious zealots, cranks and other humourless god-botherers in a leaky old boat and pushed it out into the English Channel-it was supposed to sink off the coast of Cornwall
  15. Tiled floor throughout bedroom and bathroom. Colour tv,(with remote),air (with remote),fridge, two chairs, warderobe, dressing table, phone,"open"bedroom furniture (where tv stands, plus shelf, flat top area),mirror, bedside lamps, main light,2 wall lights, shower with shower curtain, sink with mirror and light, western style toilet, power hose, towel rack (2 face towels,2 large towels). Beach towel in wardrobe,as is umbrella. Large double bed.
  16. Sunshine Hotel (old wing) beds are softer than both the Eastiny and the Flippers.
  17. I too have stayed at all 3 (4 if you count both Flippers). I'd be inclined to go with Flipper Lodge, but there's not much in it. Probably a better room at Eastiny, definitely the busiest reception at Sunshine and probably the friendlier staff at Flipper...
  18. Stayed here 4 years ago,so my info may be out of date, but I got the impression that it was constantly in the process of being refurbished. It was cheap enough, but annoying little extras-extra baht if you wanted the remote control to the tv etc. Quite a number of long term residents too. Staff were friendly enough. Obviously had a scam running about the mini-bars. I left mine fully stocked on the last day, went down to check out and was charged for two bottles of water that I hadn't had. OK 90 baht is NOT a big deal, but just one of those annoying little things. I believe there were some newer
  19. I've always had beer at MK Suki Agree with you about the enforcement though. I believe this afternoon closure has been enacted for a while and obviously since the election it looks like it will be more vigourously enforced-until you get the "get-out" licence for the additional baht. For example, over Xmas/New Year, the police would cruise soi 8 bars during the day and speak to those bars playing loud music and obviously partying before 6pm.On New Year's Eve Shark Bar had a staff party starting at 2pm and had a heavily pregnant lady doing the bbq on the soi-police pulled up three times, but di
  20. The Lengkee is great for Chinese roast duck. I agree PIC Kitchen is great,if a little more expensive. Pink Lady on Beach Rd between soi 7 and Pattayaklang is cheap and does good thai and farang food. It has seafood too,but the Walking St places are better. The best seafood though is at Betong seafood,2nd rd between soi 7 and soi 8. Look for the pink sign in thai and chinese script. OK it doesn't have the views over the sea that Walking St has,nor has it dancing girls, but the food is bloody good and cheap- a meal for nine (self and 8 gannets, sorry bgs) cost 3000 baht including several lar
  21. Soft beds are to be found at the Sunshine soi 7 (old wing). Also the Carlton at the junction of soi 4 and 2nd Rd. Should meet your other criteria. Of the two,I prefer the Sunshine...
