  1. I spent two weeks at the Sabai Inn in January( high season)at 1050 b. for a superior room. I cant fault the place but believe the only differences superior to standard is a hairdryer and a bath. The rooms and beds are spacious. Booked again for 3 weeks in May( low season). This time a standard room at 700 b. At that price it will be hard to beat. In my opinion its location is excellent. If you decide on the Sabai Inn make sure and request an outside facing room as some rooms do not have any windows. I have not stayed at either of the other Hotels so cant make a comparison.
  2. Being a first timer you will probably be surprised at the size of Pattaya.
  3. The only drawback is the location. The hotel is good value. It is further away from the main Pattaya action than the Resid. Gard. but on the same road. Baht buses pass the front door constantly but if you are like me and in and out of your hotel all day long then it becomes a bind travellin in the buses 3/4 times a day.
  4. I like the bar and the owners are great(Anna is beautiful). Ive not stayed there but have viewed the rooms. They are very basic and not my cup of tea.
  5. Made the journey by taxi twice last year, January & September. On both occasions I was charged 3,000 B. Journey time is about 5 hours. If you are a monger then Hua Hin is not worth going to. After Pattaya it will be very disappointing. However it is a pleasant part of the world and a good bit nicer than Pattaya. The beach is excellent. I only went as I have a friend who works there.
  6. I dont think there such a service. I think it could be as much as 50 miles across that Bay and would take a fair amount of time to make that crossing.
  7. Bracken, Khrongfa got back to me and advised there will be a 100 baht charge for the additional drop in pattaya. That makes it approx. 1500 b (includin parking and tolls). See you in Dubai.
  8. Pattaya mad.....you know what its like after that journey. Its a case of lets get down that road asap. Besides I have a 5pm appointment. But certainly up for a piss up anytime you care to mention. Just name the place and the time. You cant beat a real good prowl.
  9. Bracken, I am arriving at the same time as yourself. There is an Irish bar in Dubai Airport (O' something), you cant miss it. We could meet there. I will stand at the bar, I will have a navy blue shirt on. I'm 5' 10'' with dark hair with a fair amount of grey. I have booked Krongfa (used them 3 times before). Their charge is 1200 baht + airport parking and expressway tolls. Normally adds up to 1400 baht + tip depending on service. I will contact them and let them know there will be an additional passenger who will be heading to soi.13 and determi
  10. Bracken, Just tried to PM you but was denied. I would imagine thats because you are not a member. But thats no problem. Let me know your Hotel and I will contact the taxi company. They may make a small additional charge if our hotels are a distance apart. Im in Soi.2.
  11. You are 5 minutes before me. What hotel you got in Pattaya? I will pm you re meeting up In Dubai.
  12. No, I am out of Glasgow...what time does your flight get into Dubai. we could meet up there and then again in Bangkok before goin to Pats
  13. Can I assume you have changed your plans. Thanks for gettin back to both Pattaya mad and myself after our offers to share.
  14. MM2y No problem, I arrive at approx. 12.10 pm on Emirates from Dubai. I already have a taxi booked to pick me up. If you can make it out to the Airport for about 12.45 pm I would be happy to share.
  15. Looks like it big man......and those who know me tell me I'm a nice guy. Looks like they have been lyin to me for years
  16. PM. Yeah, Does seem a little unlikely, having said that the flight may be pretty quiet but at that time of year again a little unlikely. Don't know what happened to Seabass. No doubt you would read my offer to share a taxi if he could get himself out to the airport round about my arrival time. He didn't even have the decency to reply. A polite message saying thanks but no thanks would not have gone amiss. An offer of help amongst fellow boardies you would think would be met with some common courtesy. I suppose it takes all ki
  17. Dont take this the wrong way....but...I love you. God, I am so happy.
  18. I am far from being a computer genius, in fact, I know where the on/off switch is, I can always find my mouse and with a bit of a struggle I can manage to find the Furom on Pattaya Pages. Get the message. I have managed to lose a whole pile of photographs from my recent trips to Thailand. I have no idea how I managed it. They were there, then they were gone. I somehow dont think I have erased them. Is there any magic potion that would allow them to re-appear? Please help me? My life is not so good without my precious photos.
  19. Seabass, If you could get yourself out to the Airport, you should be able to get a bus for a 100 baht or so, I would be only to happy to share. Send me a PM if you want.
  20. Topino....I am due in at 12.05 (noon) from Dubai...is that any good for you,,I think pattaya mad gets in about 3pm ish.
  21. Unless you only have carry on luggage it wont do you any good as you will still have to wait for your bags to appear. On my 6 trips I have never been any longer than 45 minutes from wheels down to in the taxi and on my way. In fact, on my last trip it was 30 minutes. I think that is pretty fast.
  22. Why should I not say thankyou? I'm always in the habit of saying it when someone has provided me with a service. If i've paid the accepted going rate for a falang of 10 b. then I think it is only right to say thanks.
