Be careful with the more up market Hotels in the area. They are more likely to have a policy in place to charge for Guests. Be sure to enquire before booking.

Dont know about SKY TOP. I have never seen a sign re Gust Fees. I would be very surprised if there is or ever was. I have stayed close to six weeks at the Apex and probably in that time about 30 ladies have kept me company and not once was i ever challenged re joiner costs. They are also very strict in obtaining ID from your guests and will not return it to them until they have called you to ensure you have had no problems. This I like. In my experience it is value for money. I have never had a problem. Some will not agree.

At the price you are looking at the Apex Hotel is worth considering. I know it gets some bad press but I have stayed there twice (once for 24 days) and never had a problem. It has a website with all the info you need. Just book it for a couple of days then if you are not too happy then you can look around for an alternative at your leisure. Last thing you want is to turn up in Pattaya for the first time, after an ardous journey with no knowledge of where you are going to be sleeping.

I have used Khrongfa on my last two trips(May, September) and have no complaints. On both occassions cost was B1200 + tolls and parking. Last time my China Airlines flight arrived at 5.58am, 52 minutes ahead of schedule. I then had the quickest run through the Airport Ive ever had and had my bags at 6.30 am thinking my taxi driver could be half an hour away yet. But guess what, there he was holding up his board with my name. He then proceeded to get me to Pattaya at a very safe 100/120 kph. I will continue to use them.

I enjoy a round of golf but have never played in Thailand any time I've been there. Don't want to carry my clubs half way round the world then not play. So, if i get the time or the notion to play is it possible to hire decent clubs from the golf courses?

Yip.....I agree a much improved performance. This time for the first in a while the team had a shape to them and everybody seemed to know their task. Organisation and discipline within a team is hugely important. For over 2 years under Vogts this was sadly lacking and if you dont have an abundance of talent then you are going to get slaughtered. Scotlands next two world cup qualifiers are in June while I am in Pattaya. Do you think I will be able to watch live anywhere?

Wild Horses could not force me to hire a motorbike and then ride it in Pattaya. The traffic can be mad. One night recently over a period of 3/4 hours i came across 3 m/b accidents, one of them looked very serious. I believe also the road fatality figures are very high. Maybe Ok if you are going out of town but if it is for buzzing about in town then wouldnt consider it. The Baht Bus service is great, ok , because of the current excavation works on Beach road, there can be some delays but in the main it is excellent

I am eleven and a half stone(approx.73/74 K) was once charged excess baggage for being 6 k over the stated limit of 20 K, this made combined total weight 100 kgs and then had to endure the discomfort of an individual sitting next to me who most of weighed 120/130 k. I know it is not possible for airlines to weigh passengers and luggage together but it does seem a little bit unfair when you are charged excess when you in fact slip easily into a seat and other individuals buy one but use one and a little bit of two others.

Returned from pattaya about two weeks ago. Bangkok-Dubai-Glasgow with Emirates. Return Flight was overbooked and on checking in they were looking for volunteers to stay behind and travel on the same flight the following evening. It didnt take long for me to volunteer when i saw they were offering a free return flight Glasgow-Bangkok as an incentive, along with meals and board in a top class hotel. This doesnt answer your question as i havnt stayed in the guesthouse. But what i can tell you is the owner Anna is absolutely stunningly beautiful. When i was in Pattaya in October i popped in to the bar with a TG to get out of the rain. It was the TG who spotted her and pointing over my shoulder she said 'lady very beautiful'. I turned to be met with a very warm smile from Anna. She caught my breathe and was speechless for about 10 seconds. Sometimes you get a feel for a place and that night without ever speaking to Anna i left her bar thinking this is a place i would stay. Loo
