Doesn't sound to bad as the cheapest available fare Ban-Auck return quoted on Zuji (NZ) is NZ$1900 which is qantas changing aircraft in Syd both ways! That is the quote here in Auckland.

We also have a similiar protection system in place,however this card limits your temporary loss and to me is still a very worthwhile method! If that's the "BEST" thing U.K. can offer to entice us to return I'll give it a miss!

Just an idea for people that have a fear of getting involved in a scam when paying an advanced deposit for a room. Here in N.Z. (and I presume elsewhere) one can "Purchase" a C/C from a bank or post office eg $105 for a $100 line of credit.Apparantly these pre-purchased cards have all the advantages of a normal card without the risks as the maximum one can lose is the amount you choose to keep as a balance.

I used toom as usual for my return airport trip on Aug 6th,driver requested that I pay him before arrival at airport! Don't worry this is quite normal now and NOT A SCAM. If the BIB see money changing hands outside the airport it can (and often does mean big trouble for the driver),and if questioned yourself simply say a friend organised the car for you and no money is involved.

I to noticed that the ever popular "Mod" has returned to her home club,obviosly she was not impressed with her sojurn to that "Unique" place! Welcome home gal!

So reading your post,may we assume that you leave your luggage unattended or in the SAFE hands of a stranger at the airport whilst you go for a shit etc,and return to find it safe and loaded into your splendid transport.Never happen pull the other one it's got bells on,wouldn't even do this in a coutry supposedly "Honest" never mind Thailand!

Reading through the Mr tooms recommendation posts (a service incidently I also always use) I can see absolutely no reason for your ignorant comments regarding saving 600 bht.I would say that all the members here that use his service do so because of his excellent reputation,over a long period of time! BTW with that "Measly" 600 bht I save I have a dozen Ice-cold beers in a cooly bin waiting for me on arrival,just another friendly service you don't get from your over the top airport mafia taxi non-service!

Hi Emil The Storm is exactly opposite the C&B my future digs,it is about a 20 room guesthouse with an active life in the various pool leagues,open 24 hours a day. They take great delight in attempting to drown all other music systems in the SOI and is the full time haunt of the moto taxi drivers,however must say they are a pretty good lot!

Time of year,length of stay these will have a large bearing on price! Maybe available low season but IMO you would be struggling between NOV/Mar at those prices!

This area IMHO is not renowned for the type of accomodation you are enquiring about,it does however provide ample choice of very comfortable cheap/fairly priced rooms in general. Among the exceptions are the LKMetropol which has a wide variety of good rooms/suites plus good internet and a pool. Further down Soi Bukhaow towards South Pat rd sits the Sunview Hotel which has internet and a pool.On Soi lengkee there are 2 places J&P/Opey de place Hotels both having a variety of rooms/internet/pool at reasonable costs,by no stretch of the imagination luxorious but popular. 18 months ago I paid NZ$895 all inclusive on Thai, Auck/Bang R/T,the cheapest available I could get for next month with Thai was $1373 and this was even by booking months in advance.Had to settle for the Worlds Favorite Airline (B.A.) via Syd for $1155,even that has disappeared now. IMHO I believe we will have to live with these and even more similiar increases for years to come!
