  1. Man I can't stand chicken feet.
  2. To me 8 hours and 16 hours is almost the same once I'm already sitting on the plane.
  3. He's been real good with delivering my customers from the airport to View Talay. His drivers always call me when they get close to Pattaya to let me know they are close. Customers always seem happy with him and the price so I keep giving him my business.
  4. I rent out my View Talay Condos at very good prices: http://www.ViewTalayCondos.com
  5. Lek Hotel breakfast is fantastic value at 110B and they serve until 1pm -- the best breakfast deal after the Diana Hotel. The rooms are so-so. The old wing rooms are an absolute drag.
  6. Thai Blind Massage Institute (TMBG) in Jomtien Complex. It costs only 130B for massage in fan room and 150B for a massage in a/c. Best deal around.
  7. In high season you must book ahead to get a hotel that is at all popular. However you do it, just book ahead. Sure, you show up in high season you can find a room somewhere, but it will likely not be ideal. All the popular places will be booked way in advance.
  8. Ok I emailed him for you already along with your email address. He's a close American friend of mine. I hope it works out!
  9. I think your idea is doable. It's a great idea to escape the winter! I have a friend who owns 3 small studios in Majestic Condo in Jomtien. If you're interested I can connect you and him. They rent for 4,500B/m-6,500B/m plus utilities. Plus there are plenty of other places for people with a low budget as well, just don't expect very much.
  10. In coach it seems the airlines are much the same...
  11. It sounds very interesting. I'd love to see their menu!
  12. Yeah I've heard of some places charging 10B/unit. People talk all the time about the monthly prices of a room, but without also talking about the utility prices, you're not getting the true price of the room. People tend to conveniently forget about this. Your 12,000B/m apartment can quickly become 18,000B/m very very easily.
  13. It makes a big difference actually. The actual cost is around 3B per unit I think. Anyway rentals seem to charge a standard 5B per unit, but some up to 7B/unit. At the end of the month this "small" difference can mean an extra 1k or 2k baht.
  14. By the way there is a new IBIS hotel on Ramkamheng Rd next to the motorway, which can be considered a Bangkok airport hotel, since it is somewhat close and along the motorway. I really like IBIS hotels. It would be a lot cheaper than the Novotel, and at least there will be plenty of shops and restaurants around. It is very well priced. I see it on latestays.com sometimes.
  15. Before 6am there is no traffic so you could really stay anywhere in Bangkok and be at the airport within 30 minutes. After 6am -- traffic halts!
  16. I can see both sides on this issue. In the beginning when I planned on renting out my condos, I thought I would need a big deposit, but later understood it is unnecessary for a short term rental. Obviously as an owner renting out my condos, I would like as much deposit as possible to cover any damages, but a high deposit is likely to put off customers, so 5,000B seems to be standard around for a short term rental. Long term is a different story all together. Actually, I haven't had anybody "trash" my condos at all with this small deposit, and have never had to keep one baht of a deposit
  17. If I'm not mistaken, you can also get United Airlines miles by flying THAI.
  18. That's right. "Bandar Bush" should wish him a Happy Birthday with a kiss and a hug.
  19. Watsons or Boots in Royal Garden Plaza would be my first stop.
