If the baht bus was up to 15B, then it would've been published in the www.pattayapeople.com and www.pattayamail.com newspapers, since it is city hall that needs to authorize a fare increase. They already declined that request last year. As far as I know it is still 10B.

My same experience...

The price is 10B day or night 24/7 to/from Pattaya and Jomtien on the baht busses. Honestly I rarely wait no more than 1 minute for a baht bus in front of the View Talay 1 driveway to go into Pattaya. And then to get the baht bus going from Pattaya to Jomtien you must go to the S. Pattaya intersection. In front of the school yard are the baht busses going back to Jomtien. So, getting back to View Talay Condo 1,2 or 5 after a night of partying on Walking Street is easy so easy. As long as you know to get the baht bus at the S. Pattaya intersection (South Pattaya Road and 2nd Road) to retur

When searching for a View Talay condo one really must look at the condo unit itself, as all units are different -- none are the same. There are some dumpy old units, and then there are some very impressive units. Anyway, View Talay 1 and 2 are not ocean front, while View Talay 3 and 5 are ocean front. View Talay 3 is the only View Talay Condo (not including the residences) that is not on the main baht bus route. So this is one big reason why people like View Talay Condo is because it is easy to get around 24/7 on the baht bus. View Talay 5 does share its location with Avalon Beach

Where is this? I haven't seen it. But I rarely go to Naklua.

Way to look at the positive side! I agree with it all. Actually, I think the positives to owning a condo far outweigh the negatives.

Pattaya Bay Resort Pool Party

Oh man what a super idea. I can't make it, but please plan one of these again? -
I don't think TG domestic flights are cheaper from travel agents. But I could be wrong. I would go with the web site booking, but not without calling UA to find out which TG fare codes get full EQM (elite qualifying miles).

Apparently the scuba diving in Pattaya is very good. You wouldn't imagine it from standing in South Pattaya though. There are day trips to islands.

In NYC flights are $1500 and up for Juny/July! Jesus, that is outrageous!

www.farecompare.com is a good site to check the quotes you need.

Surely there are many other taxi services that are fantastic and reliable. I have been using Mr.Toom's taxi service for all my renters, and not one complaint. So I continue to trust him to deliver my customers to View Talay Condo, so I can meet their check-in each time.

Is that the construction going on near Tony's Fitness? Great city location. -
Solid advice. Best to call those hotels that don't reply.

That sort of sours the deal.

Grand Mercure Park Ave in Bangkok
bangkapiboy replied to Floyd's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I've visited there to meet a friend. The hotel is beautiful. It is far down the soi, with little sidewalk, narrow soi. He loved it so much there he stayed there again on his next trip to Bangkok. The hotel is very classy and beautiful. -
Lek or Welcome Plaza hotel.
bangkapiboy replied to tomx2's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Agreed. Lek hotel is the better choice of the two. Welcome Plaza is depressing. -
It is my experience that miles are worth 1.5 cents each. So, a 120,000 mile award ticket can be worth $1800 plus applicable taxes if one wants to make such a deal. Mile brokers buy at this amount many times, and then turn around and sell the business/first class tickets at an even higher price.
