Never! I feel sorry for the business on that Soi. Unless they have a back entrance on Soi 10 they're just wasting away. My favorite massage place closed cause of it.

Jan's Taxi Service – Exceptional Service
pfotoguy replied to kuranda_bagman's topic in Meeting - Cost sharing
Jan's the best. I always give her first choice at taking and picking me up anywhere. Last time she picked me up from Koh Chang and that's quite a jaunt. She is a pleasure to ride with and talk too. I will miss her services when she retires to take care of family. -
Congatulations Paul to you and Jan. She was my first live contact with Thailand and it has always been a pleasure using your service. please tell her I said hello.

Well I live here but I'm leaving for a couple of weeks to tour Cambodia with On My Way to search for vietnamese girls. Sound weird but it's better to find viets in cambo than it is in Viet Nam. The rules of engagement are much more relaxed. But "I'll be back"

Yes she is a mute and primarily deaf also. she will be dancing there because as many deaf people she can "feel' the vibration of the music through the floor and her body. That with watching the others she should do fine. I spent quite a bit of time with her last night. Nice girl, be gentle. It's a new world for her.

Dr Aree was great. I'm sad to see so many good reports about her. She's going to be harder to see. For her I'll wait in line.

DAYS IN THE LIFE OF A PATTAYA HOTEL OWNER
pfotoguy replied to cookie's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I used to work as a trainer in a call center. We trained about 400 people a year to do computer rservations. I had about 30 in each class. At some point I would give the insruction to take the mouse and right click on something on the screen. There would always be 1 or 2 that would put the mouse on the monitor screen and move it around. I new it was going to be a long day. -

I've lived here for about 8 months. I have a 1 bedroom apartment 80 sq meters. good staff and good place to stay. I just got a condo in Jomtien so I'll be moving Monday. no problem bringing girls up or ladyboys for that matter. one of the tenants was partial to that and had a different one up every night. food in the restaurant is also ok. close to the action but not in the middle of it. Baht bus will drop you off right at the driveway. If you want to rent a bike there is plenty of parking in the basement.

I love that statement. I'm quite comfortable living in my residential mode instead of a vacation mode. I try to keep it as simple as possible. I have a live-in that takes very good care of me and we only go out about 3 or 4 nights a week, mostly dinners and entertainment with friends. I probably am paying to much for an apartment and I need to scale down that expense. but it is a comfortable lifestyle for me. It would be a lot cheaper to get a house just outside of town. I'm still looking into that. Renting not buying. As a side note that has really nothing to do with this. I wa

It's kind of scary. I would like to buy but this is not my country and I can't treat it as though it is. In the US sure, you want to buy. It's an investment. but the laws can change here at any time on the goverments whim. I just think it's safer to rent.

Welcome. your life will never be the same

How much $$$ to comfortably retire in Thailand???
pfotoguy replied to Hawkster's topic in Expat Issues
Not a flame! but try doing a search on the subject. I did and from what I could gather before I actually got here was. It depends on your life style. There's no set answer. But if your planning on living in "vacation" mode. Bring lots and lots of money. I've been running on the heavy side bacause I just moved here and I ran about 80,000 bht a month for 2 months. It can be cut down to 55 60K -
old or not it was a fucking funny mother fucker

I agree Jep's was a fine place to stay.

worst I had was a bg that was pissed I wouldn't give her a 500 baht tip. on top of what I had already paid her and she stole a bottle of scotch from the mini bar when I wasn't looking. now I have the mini bar removed. end of problem. I also lock every thing up except what I'm going to pay her. + tip. if she deseves it she gets it.

that was a good way to kill a few minutes. thanks

I too am a photographer and will be taking pictures through out Thailand and SEA in general. Mostly stock stuff. I'll also be doing some stuff of the girls, but will not be selling anything in Thailand. No weddings or family portraits. I also draw a lot of attention because of what I carry sometimes. Hell it's in a large backpack on wheels I really don't anticipate any problems unless you are soliciting business in an open manner.

thanks Doggie, Is there a lift?
