Recently stayed at D Apartments on Soi Boakhao, near Pattaya Klang. I was looking for an inexpensive room for a few days and a place that has 24 hour reception since I was arriving in Pattaya around 2:00 AM. D Apartments has two buildings, an older building with stairs and no lift, and a newer building with a lift and nicer amenities. I stayed in the older building, 600 bhat a night. The room was basic but clean with a large and comfy bed. Wifi was fast and free. Two bottles of complimentary water a day. Staff was excellent and friendly. Maybe there was a typo in the email address you gave them or possibly the have a problem with the service they are using. Are you talking about the "Hole in the Wall" place on Soi Buakhao? http://www.pattayaphotoguide.com/?nLvRUTyrkc8BFDAA I've been there many times. Good inexpensive food but their noodle soup isn't the greatest. Thanks for the suggestion though!

My favorite noodle stall along Soi buakhao use to be in the alley behind the family mart on Soi Leng Kee (Kitty corner from 18 coins) http://www.pattayaphotoguide.com/?g7uRUSsrkcNBDDAA It closed a couple of years ago. I think there's a burger stand there now? I haven't found one in the area that has been as good. I've asked some of my TG friends but they usually say the only know of good places around their room or work. Anyone have any recommendations for good noodle stands to try along Soi buakhao or soi's off of buakhao?

Thanks everyone for their suggestions I'll look into the options provided. I'm hoping to be in town for more than 30 days so my current plan is to book a room for the first few nights and try and find a good monthly deal while I'm on the ground. Thanks again for all the suggestions

Looking into flights to BKK next month and the flight with the best deal arrives at swampy at 00:05 (12:05 AM). I would guess the earliest I would get to Pattaya is 02:30. I usually stay at guest houses in the Soi Bukuoa/Soi Leng Kee area for under a 1,000 baht but most of these places do not staff for check in 24 hours a day. Any suggestions for cheap accommodations for the first couple of nights that has staff available to check in late night? I was thinking of China Garden but I think I read somewhere their front desk is not staffed all night.

It's a no from me, same reasons as the others who voted no.

Use them all the time and love them. I always fly economy and I'm usually sitting somewhere behind the engines. On a 12 hour flight the drone of the engines use to get to me. Not anymore, highly recommend getting a pair for any long flight. I do not notice any hiss when I have them on.

I've only been in Alcatraz once and I must admit I like some of the uniforms. The girls in police uniforms (short skirts, black boots, and handcuffs hanging from their belt) is a bit of a turn on That being said lady drinks were a bit high and girls didn't seem that touchy feely. I haven't opened one but from the threads on opening an account certain Kasikorn branches will open an account for you with just your passport and others will not. Try until you find one that will. Several posts have indicated the Kasikorn near Tuk Com in pattaya will open an account with just a passport and address of your hotel. Good luck!
