Hi, I am looking at getting a new I-mac desktop, probably around the beginning of February time. I would prefer to use the Thai online store, so I can configure the machine exactly as I want from the start. Has anybody used the Apple Online Store to order anything Apple. If so, did they (Apple), use DHL for delivery and did they deliver direct to your house ?? I know that all their orders ship from Apple in Singapore. The reason I ask, is that I read a thread on Thai Visa saying that they use DHL and that DHL only deliver to their nearest depot, then phone you up requesting a

Just a quick update on the shuttle bus service. I have used the free shuttle bus three times recently, twice from Swampy to Don Muang and once in the other direction. Each journey was around the 50 minute mark, that included a journey during evening rush hour, they use the tollways and the driving was pretty steady, ie safe. They leave from outside gate number 3 at Swampy on the arrival levels, level 2. At Don Muang, they drop you off for some reason on the arrival level as well instead of the departures level. Only once was the bus really busy a 11.00 am departure from Swampy. They

Pattaya 3D Art Gallery
Fireman Sam replied to Fireman Sam's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Visited the place last Friday night and yes was probably worth the visit, daughter was happy which was the main reason for going. We arrived there about 19.00hrs, the place was very quiet, by the end of our walk round we nearly had the place to ourselves. If you are visiting make sure you take a camera with you. Ye, I managed to get in for the Thai price of 150 baht by showing my Thai driving licence. Best Regards -

Hi, Anybody been to the Pattaya 3D Art Gallery. We are down in Pattaya next week for a few days and the daughter wants to go and have a look. Thais are charged 150 baht, Falangs are 500 baht, pretty steep in my book. So is it worth me going in or am I better of just waiting outside for the daughter and wife to have look round themselves ? Any advice appreciated. Here is the place I'm on about. http://pattaya-times.com/a7769-pattaya-s-first-ever-3d-art-gallery-opens Regards

If you are still not sure and are in town the same time as BIgD arrange a meet-up and ask to see his passport, he is normally quite keen to show it to board members and those pesky stamps. !!!!!! LOL Regards

Just a quick update, I had read conflicting reports about the time that the shuttle bus would stop i.e 22.00hrs and midnight. I arrived at Don Muang tonight at 22.05hrs from Nakhon Phanom, exited Terminal one about 22.20 hrs after waiting for my bags. When you exit Terminal one the shuttle bus stand is on your left past the Taxi stand about 50meters, I could not see any booth or table there for getting onto the buses, only two really old buses with hand written signs on them in darkness with no signs of any life or drivers around. Not sure if they had stopped for the night or not, so I j

On channel 3 news last night they said the bus would take approximately one hour for the journey and would be free for passengers with a onward flight ticket. Timing sounds about right, taxis take around the 30-40 minute mark. I will miss the last bus on the 3rd October as Nok Air have altered my flight time slightly and I don't arrive in DMK until 22.25 hrs now, so back to a taxi for myself. Regards

Yes, well done the Thai Police, hopefully the courts will do their business and send them down for some time hopefully. Regards

Cheers Tom for the link, I have to do a transfer from DMK - BKK on the 3rd October around 21.00 hrs so I might give it a try. I have five hours to kill between airports so no rush, will report back if no one else does so before hand. Regards

Yes no delay on approach, that I noticed anyway. Hopefully not more runway closures/ repairs, what did you hear ? Regards

Arrived swampy tonight 09/09/12 from Doha at 19.00hrs, although I had a few fast track cards saved up, I ventured into the first immigration hall I came to, about half the desks were manned, I was directed to a booth with one person in front of me, so through in less than five minutes. Suitcases arrive about ten minutes later, then out into the night and on my way, fail to see how Swampy could improve on this. Well done long may it continue. just my update for arrivals. Regards

Ye, pretty sure there has been no change regarding the business class terminal. I'm through there this Sunday, although only in Y this time. I read somewhere that a big part of the delay in the new airport was the finishing of the new lounges, apparently 250,000,000 US being spent on 17 lounges. Depending on which stand your aircraft gets it can be a bit of a journey to the transfer terminal. Never been a problem for myself, but yes, will be nice when this part of the Doha experience is no more. Regards

As anticipated, the opening of the new Doha Airport has been delayed until the second half of next year, oh well bus transfers until then I suppose. http://www.gulf-times.com/site/topics/article.asp?cu_no=2&item_no=528206&version=1&template_id=57&parent_id=56 Regards

Have been on Emirates A380 loads of times in business class, never found the cabins to be hot at all. Maybe just a one off or a problem with the AC on board that A380. Regards -

Thanks for the warning 4niceight. Sorry to hear that the Thai crooks have cottoned on to this one, how long before it spreads nationwide ? Been a problem for a few years now in the UK, although once the crooks spot you they normally follow you home, then at an opportune time break in and steal your pride and joy. Lovedog 100, serious cyclists are just the same as serious motorcyclist they like to ride the best bicycle that they can afford and why shouldn't they. A mate of mine who lives outside Pattaya has just purchased his latest bike carbon fibre road bike a Specialized Venge,
