  1. Sorry double post, bloody i-phone and 3BB playing up. Regards
  2. Hi MM, I have used 'mai hun a gad' above the consonants and not the short A vowel, just incase you thought it was that. Although, I stand to be corrected as expert I am not. Sorry for drifting off topic. Regards
  3. cun คัน might be pronounced with a K in English as well, not one hundred per cent sure.
  4. Brilliant real good stuff. Just a shame what happened to him at such a early age. Thanks for the link made my day. Regards
  5. If your budget allows I would upgrade to a Villa A or B, far more private IMHO. Regards
  6. Always stay in the Sabai Resort when in Pattaya. Lovely setting with three nice pools if you like siting around a pool now and again. The rooms in the big block on the left as you enter from reception are a bit basic but okay, sometimes some noise as people return to their rooms late at night. Think they go for about 1000 baht a night. Last stay we booked a Ruen Thai Bungalow, it is called the paradise zone, basically about twenty bungalows in their seperate area with their own pool about half way through the resort. Think we paid about 1800 a night due to some promotion on at the ti
  7. I'm with the Fiend on this one, I also prefer Emirates, I thought the legroom on Etihad was far tighter than Emirates and could not get comfy with that bloody footrest either up or down. Anybody used http://www.skyscanner.net/ they are coming up with some reasonable prices ?? Regards
  8. Can't believe BIGD has posted an accommodation question and we are on post number 32 and a certain guest house on second road has not been mentioned yet !!!!! Ops !!! :whistling:
  9. Congratulations to Cadel Evans, a worthy winner to a fantastic tour. Apparently he is the oldest tour winner since the second world war at the age of 34. Well done to Cavendish as well first brit to win the Green jersey. Got a free couple of hours everyday now. Regards
  10. Fantastic stage yesterday, racing from a bygone era going from so far out, well done to Andy Schleck. Still think both the Schlecks need more time over Evans before Saturdays Time Trial. I think Frank will go on the offensive today and if Evans drags everyone back up to him then Andy will go again, if he has anything left in his legs after today. Anyway that's my best guest for today's racing ?? Roll on stage 19. Regards
  11. Don't think Evans will get a better chance to finally win the Tour. Contador will have to make his move at the finishes on the Galibier and Alpe d'Huez on Thursday and Friday as he won't take any time out of Evans on the final time trial on Saturday. Should be great viewing the next few days. Regards
  12. This years tour has been incident packed to say the least. Gutted about Wiggins breaking his collarbone, don't think he would have won it but might have been good for a podium finish, was in the best form of his life. Contador saying it might not be his year ? apparently he has a knee injury. I think it might be Cadel Evans year, siting pretty just now and the time trial on second last day might just favour him over the Schlecks if he can hang on in the mountains ? Roll on Thursday when they hit the Pryenees and the mountain top finish at Luz Ardiden. Will see which of the GC contende
  13. I asked about Abu Dhabi a while back here is the thread. http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/topic/54453-transit-in-abu-dhabi/page__p__882601__hl__%2Babu+%2Bdhabi+%2Bairport__fromsearch__1?do=findComment&comment=882601 Regards
  14. Hi jacko, I was in Manchester Airport on Monday afternoon and managed to get onto a free network there, I was in terminal three. It only gave 30 minutes free then you had to pay. Not sure of the cost but 30 mins was enough for what I had to do. Think you had to wait another 24hrs or something before getting another free 30 mins or so, did not read all the terms and conditions. Maybe Brown 1950 knows better as he seems to have good info about MAN. In full agreement with everybody here wi-fi should be provided free in all airports etc etc in this day and age. Regards
  15. Must be a nationwide crack down just now as they are pretty hot with it just now in Nakhon Phanom, road blocks all over the place at nights. Maybe something to do with the upcoming election, who knows ?
  16. Looks okay, I use Emirates A380 a lot, think the seat pitch on theirs is 32 inches as well, which seems pretty decent when you are on it. Be interesting to see if they are competitive price wise once they enter it on the LHR route ?? Might be tempted to change if price is reasonable. Where's the bum-gun in the toilets ? didn't notice it on the video. LOL Regards
  17. Siting in Emirates lounge in Manchester just now waiting to board the A380 for Dubai. Fecking typical yesterday I bottled it and hired a car and drove from Aberdeen to Manchester and stayed overnight here to make sure I got my flight today. When checking today I see my ABZ - MAN flight departed on time. Still with my luck if I had waited until today no doubt the flights would have still been cancelled. Cost me a couple of hundred quid extra but worth it to get home on time. Regards
  18. Thanks for keeping us up to date. Fecking typical, I'm due to leave ABZ on Wednesday morning for MAN then out to DXB with Emirates. Don't fancy driving it, but will do if I get enough warning of ABZ closing.
  19. Carefull when buying a used one. Mine is coming up for 18 months old and think I will have to replace the battery sooner rather than later. I believe it's about 1000 baht or thereabouts in MBK or £55.00 via apple in the UK. Anyway just a thought. Regards
  20. Same same for myself used Etihad in March and April, not impressed with them, thought the legroom on all their planes was a lot tighter than Emirates. So back with Emirates next week on the A380 all the way. Worth the small extra cost for myself as I travel quite often.
  21. Oh for feck sakes, how's BigD going to master the quote function now ???? 55555555 Just joking BigD Looking good MM
  22. If you are on about the Resort, then no problem changing half way through or whenever as long as the rooms are available. Obviously there might be a charge if you are up grading to a better room.
  23. Any of the Asian Airlines really, with probably Singapore having the upper hand slightly. Nothing better than watching the eye candy swanning through Swampy whilst waiting for a flight, try that in any UK airport, not happening really is it.
  24. Worth re-checking your price as Emirates has dropped their fuel surcharge from yesterday.
  25. Use Emirates A380 often, never any difference that I can see at immigration or baggage collection.
