  1. 37 in Nakhon Phanom today same forecast for tomorrow, has the cool season been and gone?

  2. I upgraded to Kodi 17.1 on my Mac laptop, seems to be much better with a more user friendly interface. Yes, I lost all my settings and add-ons, the actual sources are still in the root directory just a case of rebooting the ones I want to keep. To be honest they needed a sort out anyway to replace broken links, ones no longer there etc etc. Doesn't take too long to re-install the latest recommended ones. Regards
  3. Hi Jacko, This is the guy a follow on youtube to keep my Kodi fully loaded and up to date. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCx_pp6ibaQ Yes it can be a bit of a pain, but once you get used to installing different add-ons you have loads of choice if some are down for maintenance or not available. Regards
  4. I was a gold card frequent flyer with them for quite a few years, pretty good airline IMHO, I've no horror stories to tell. Enjoy your trip. Regards
  5. 15 degrees @07.00 hrs this morning in Nakhon Phanom whilst out cycling, arm warmers on, must be getting soft lol.

  6. No need to worry BigDUSA, it has been held already if you look at the date? I wasn't in Pattaya for the event, but never read or heard of any mass food poisoning due to the event. July also isn't the hottest month of the year in Pattaya or Thailand. Regards
  7. I did notice the other week when I was in the local office they were still using Windows XP on their computers, so maybe not surprising the system is down and hardly inspires confidence lol. Regards
  8. Same in Nakhon Phanom Gary, although I've only around 2-3KM to travel so it's not a problem. As you say, I think they make up their own local policies. Regards
  9. Cracking fare that bigbadbaz, especially departing early December when most airlines are starting to increase their fare structure. Regards
  10. 5 toilets in economy, just need one or two to go tech and then there will be real queues, not to mention the aroma. Why is it that the person in front of me always takes ages to do whatever they are doing, what do they get up to in there ? lol. Regards
  11. Yes, an old frequent flyer trick when flying economy, always try to be the last to board then walk to the back of the aircraft irrespective of your allocated seat number and if available pick a row with 2,3,or 4 empty seats. The aircraft will always be fuller at the front as everybody wants off quickly once the plane reaches its destination. Most people will only start jumping seats when the doors are closed. Regards
  12. Downloaded today along with Crime And Punishment. I'm also not really a cultured book reader, although I did read Crime and Punishment around twenty plus years ago and remember enjoying it, so will also give it a go again. Will start the Karamazov brothers after I'm finished my current read, which is an autobiography from the team sky cyclist Geraint Thomas. Struggling to find the time to do a lot of reading these days for some reason. Regards
  13. Not on the street as such, but I did a swift transfer today from the UK Nationwide Building Society to Kasikorn and got 45.70. Regards
  14. Mekong river very very high this last while, level forecast to drop over next few days.

  15. I gave up flying BA internationally more than twenty years ago, their 747 to Bangkok that went onwards to Sydney was a nightmare for legroom, thought they were crap overall and never returned. Although, I thought they were reasonable on the domestic Heathrow-Aberdeen route, well up to last year anyways. Far better choice of airlines to spend your money on these days. Regards
  16. My question was more aimed at the residents/expats in Pattaya who spoke of their experiences earlier in the thread. I would hope all tourists would have the appropriate health insurance before arriving. Regards
  17. 20,000 baht for a corn removal, wow! They must value their time somewhat more than yours. Do you guys prefer to self insure rather than get health insurance due to the cost ? Or is it mostly a case of paying up front then claiming it back on the insurance. Thanks for the heads up, I now know where not to go if I require any treatment in Pattaya on my next visit. Regards
  18. First day today in the medium mountains of the Massif Central, maybe a shake out of the general classification riders towards the end of the stage. I will go for Alejandro Valverde as my pick for today's stage. Regards
  19. Another long flat stage today again, hopefully they will go a little bit quicker than yesterday. I think the riders are telling the race organisers that stages longer than 200 KM in grand tours should be binned. Shorter stages lead to quicker more exciting racing. I will go for Sagan to win in yellow today as the finish kicks up a bit in the last 500 metres. Regards
  20. Ye, a day for the sprinters again, my pick for today is Andre Greipel, not doing too well so far lol ! Two crashes in two days, no luck for Contador, hope he isn't too badly injured and can recover before the mountains, need him in it to liven up the race with his attacking style. Yes, Porte very unlucky as well, are his GC ambitions over already ? Regards
  21. Yes you might be right looking at the stage finish more closely. Might be a day for the breakaway to stay clear if none of the sprinters team fancy their chances. I'll go for Steve Cummings from Dimension Data if he is allowed up the road, two in a row for them. lol. Regards
  22. Ye, I also thought Kittel would win today, but so happy for Cav after everybody has been writing him off lately, first career yellow jersey for him also. Pretty uneventful stage really, hope Contador is not too badly injured. Hopefully Cav can defend the jersey tomorrow another reasonably flat stage. Regards
  23. Yes Astana normally really strong team especially in the mountains. Aru had a good stage win in the Dauphine but was off the pace a bit in the overall. Will be interesting to see if Nibali will work for Aru or not ? I think he has too big an ego myself to work for somebody else. But another interesting sub plot in what should be a great tour as long the main contenders stay upright and healthy. Regards
  24. Who is your tip for this years tour then ? It starts tomorrow Saturday 2nd July from Mont-Saint-Michel/Utah Beach. Should be a good race with all the big hitters there this year. I think Nairo Quintana will win it this year. Frome and the sky team look very strong on paper, but I think they will struggle to contain an attacking Contador and his Tinkoff team leaving the way open for Quintana to claim victory in the last week in the mountains, he has also improved his time trailing this year so hopefully won't have too much time to make up. BMC with Porte and Tee Jay might also have a be
  25. Ye agree with you there, I made a effort to avoid the 787 all the time when I was travelling a lot, until one day I got done by an aircraft swap in Doha, made for a long flight into Heathrow that day. Regards
