  1. How about "Girl Happy" by Elvis Presley. And this one; "You just like me 'cos I'm good in bed." --Skyhooks "You just like me 'cos I'm good in bed Yeah that's what your girlfriend said You just like me 'cos I give you head You just like me 'cos I'm good in bed." Goes well with "Will you love me tomorrow" mentioned at the start of the thread. For those that don't know, Skyhooks was one of the top Aussie bands of the late 70's. This track from their 1975 album, "Living in the 70's." cheers, chico
  2. 2 more songs come to mind. "Girls, girls, girls," by Sailor. "I wonder what she's doin' tonight," by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart. I like searching Pattaya for good live music. chico,
  3. Pete. All is well now. Thanks, chico.
  4. Pete. Still cannot access. Same result when I click. I was able to access it earlier last night but later when I tried again, this problem came up. You're not missing a screwdriver are you? Thanks, chico.
  5. Pete. Try to get to pattaya pics via gallery. Can't access pattaya pics. The main page has 2 little white boxes with red x's where pics are and when I click on photo galleries, message, this page cannot be found. Click on support forum and when log in, brings me back to Pattayatalk. This happen last night, and again this morning. I wanted to submit some pics to a thread. I understand this problem could be fixed by the time you wake up. cheers, chico.
  6. Can vary from day to day. "Lonely lonely lonely." "The bitch is back." "Can't get you outta my head". "If I said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me." Probably the most appropriate heard in Blues Factory last night went along the lines of: "Hello hansum man, please sit down" etc etc... chico, a dogs pov.
  7. Hi. You'll hear positives and negatives for BKK. If it's your first time, my suggestion is definately YES to BKK for a day or 2. Then form your own opinion. NEP and Soi Cowboy are must sees. Everybody has heard of Patpong. Have a look. With the skytrain it's easy getting around to these places(up to midnight). Good idea to stay at Dynasty on Soi 4. It's close to NEP and a 20 minute walk or 1 stop train ride to Cowboy. I usually walk. You never know who or what you might meet. Good luck and prepare for a life changing experience. You'll never be the same again. chico, from a do
  8. Hi Tilacno In Bangkok Wednesday and Thursday, then to Pattaya Friday. And thanks for the kind offer. [smiley=gulp.gif] Have fun. [smiley=cheers.gif] chico.
  9. Tilacno. Nothing wrong with the Woraburi. I've stayed there about 4 times recently and booked in again for 2 nights next week on my way to Pattaya. 900 baht for a superior room, includes buffet breakfast(for 2 if I have a "friend"). A small pool on the 5th floor, I think. The staff are friendly. Have seen families there many times. It's about 10 minute walk to Sukhumvit and quiet. Have fun. chico, straining at the leash, grrrrrrr 8).
  10. Ay laddie. [smiley=doh.gif] [smiley=cheers.gif] McChico,sco'ish terrierer. grrrrrrrrrr 8)
  11. Stiffler. Used the bus all 8 trips without problem. It's the A3 bus to Sukhumvit. Sukhumvit traffic could be heavy at that time. If you are travelling light, suggest you get off the airport bus at Nana and catch the skytrain to Ekkamai. Might save yourself half hour. The 20 baht bus at Pattaya bus station takes off when full, but doesn't take long. Normally it goes down Beach Road. However, it did go down Second Road once. But I guess it won't now cause that's one way. I assume you have a map so you know when to get off. Good luck. Number 9 in 30 days. [smiley=grins-jump.gif]
  12. Hi Jimmac. Don't know how cheap you want but in April last year, stayed 1 night in Street Lodge, Sukhumvit Soi1. About 200 metres up the soi, right side. Cost 560baht. No safety deposit box and shared the room with a few little bugs but not bad for the price. It's closer to Ploenchit BTS than Nana. Sorry, have no contact details. chico, doggy style [smiley=1luvu.gif]
  13. Hello Clark. I walk a lot around Pattaya. You never can tell who or what you might find. From Tim's bar to start of Walk Street or Soi 8, both about 10 minutes walk. Honey Inn is on soi honey inn which starts on second road between soi 10 and soi 11 and ends at soi buakhao. There is a Honey ?(Lodge?) hotel just off South Pattaya Road between Beach Road and Second Road. Looked at this place a couple of years ago. Has a pool but didn't think much of the hotel, from memory. Great location though. I think both places are about 500-600 baht. Have a good time. I hope to be there by end of Feb
  14. The Baybreeze is a few metres off Second Road on Soi 11, which is a few metres after the Apex Hotel. A 7/11 on one corner, Siam City bank on the other. A beerbar complex is right opposite the soi. Phone: (038 ) 428383-4. chico the dog.
  15. Hello Druid. My favourite Pattaya hotel. Have stayed there 6 times in last 18 months. The most recent, 3 weeks ago. Nothing much has changed. The worn carpet on the lower stairway has been removed. Some carpet in rooms worn. Lift still slow. But bed still large and comfortable. Good size bathroom with tub and toilet. The maids are nice. Only occasionally does security keep guest's Id. Last time, they checked my girl's Id the first night ( but she was so small she only looks about 14, but is 25). The following nights, no check. There are 3 laundry places within 50 metres of th
  16. According to a very recent Pattayaexpats club newsletter, you may be asked to produce your pass. But, your airline ticket may be sufficient. chico.
  17. Hi Code. The only downside to the SQ flight is getting up at 4am for the 8.20am departure. Don't mind the hour and a half break in Singa. The upside apart from being served by the gorgeous Singapore girl is the 5.15pm arrival in BKK. After freshening up at the hotel, ready to hit the streets by 8pm. [smiley=cheers.gif] chico. who let the dog out , grrrrrrrrrr ;D
  18. Hello Crackpot. Syd-Bkk -- 4683miles/7534kms. Lon-Bkk -- 5917miles/9520kms. The lowest fare I've been quoted Syd-Bkk is usually on Malaysian via KL. I'm a member of Star Alliance and SQ is my favourite airline. chico, let the dog out, grrrrrrruuff
  19. Hello gp. Yes, pics are deceiving. A post was done about Sawasdee earlier this month. Do a search. BTW, the seaview is on Soi 10. Good position, but...... [smiley=thumbdown.gif] [smiley=cheers.gif] chico, open the gate, grrrrrrrr ;D
  20. Hi Code. Got a ticket for next week on Sing Air for $1005 inc. Of course it's via Singapore but I don't mind that minor inconvenience. The sight of those Singapore honeys makes up for that. Use Flight Centre as a benchmark. If I can't beat their price, I'm not trying. [smiley=cheers.gif] chico, escape from the dogpound, wooof [smiley=grins-jump.gif]
  21. Jhk. Stayed in the one at Buakhao a couple years ago and it was okay. Large bright room with the usual amenities. Had a nice meal from room service. No bg Id check. Pay in advance for discount but no refunds. March last year stayed a few nights in the Seaview on Soi 10. No lift. Cheap but you get what you pay for. Had a rather worn look from memory. Small bathroom/toilet, small tv and fridge. Just a railing behind the door to hang your clothes. Could take a goat and a buffalo to your room and the staff wouldn't give a shit. There are better places around to stay for just a little m
  22. Pia. Yes, Bay Breeze has a small pool on 3rd floor. Admit though, not as good as the one at Charming. But I rarely use hotel pools. [smiley=cheers.gif] chico.
  23. Stayed here in March for 3 nights. 500 baht. The first room on the first floor. The room was small but no problem. Like many hotels, don't like the all in one shower toilet where everything gets wet. At least the toilet paper holder was covered. The floors are tiled which did cause a problem. Late one night( or was it early in the morning) a resident trying to enter his room must have dropped his keys on the floor more than once and it sounded like a gun shot. On another occasion there was so much pounding from the room above( I assume on the bed) I thought the ceiling was going to cave
  24. I mean no disrespect to Simon or the others who gave good reviews. I was there 5 weeks ago for 4 nights and glad to leave. Paid 600baht with small breakfast which I had to negotiate. Did not find the staff friendly, except the maids. I did like the 2 little dogs(naturally) that sometimes were on duty guarding the safe deposit boxes. Room on 5th floor okay but not the 2 single beds pushed together. Nor the all in one shower, toilet. Did like the balcony. I feel there are better value hotels around. Moved to my favourite Bay Breeze Hotel at 450baht. Better value for me and excellent po
  25. Hello. I stayed here last March and June. Yes, rates are creeping up. March 450baht, June 645 with B/fast(basic). Booked in for 3 nights next week, 750baht superior room with b/fast. Not sure if that includes discount. I like the open air restaurant. Staff are pleasant. No problem with guests. TV only about 6 channels, but I think 2 have movies in English. 8 minute measured walk to NEP. A quiet area. [smiley=cheers.gif] chico, 8) [smiley=zzz.gif]
