Stayed there early April,the breakfasts included in your hotel bill are pretty much the dogs bollocks.I would stay their again but not on the side where the road is(Soi Bouckoi),because of early morning traffic noise.The staff where excellent,except for grassing me up to tilack for having sexy lady in ,befor she joined me in Patts. But on a more serious note ,Kevin was not there he was up country somewhere,Return to hotel late one night about 3am tilac was in bed ,and had to wake night reception staff up to open security door to access hotel bedrooms,if that was not bad enough the next nigh

Stayed Konieg (Soi 18)last Oct for a few days,its not in the Arab Quarter (Soi 16)which backs on to Walking Street.I did,nt find the room decor garish,they were large and airey.The owner is a friendly german guy ,you can book with no deposit,and it is girl friendly.The pool is small,its not that far from the action and nearer to walking street than the RG.All in All its ok with a nice feel,and ok at 900 baht per night

I was'nt impressed either,I had an inside room and was very dark.The place is an echo chamber the banging of doors in the corridors really pissed me off,try the Lek at the top of Soi13.

Arrived 1830hrs 24 Mar,Taxi was there ,safe Driver ,no problems thanks Mr Toom.

Don,t get the Standard Room there very Dark,and the noise from the corridors is fucking awful.

Think I'll have to bring mine to the top PS what's the flying time Sydney to Bangkok

the Acrea breakfast is shite.

Try the LEK HOTEL not Soi Diana ,but within spitting distance, between Soi 12/13 on second road.

Arrived yesterday,no thanks to Turkish Airlines,nearly 2 hours late,but there was Jan still waiting what a star.Can't praise her enough safe reliable, great girl.Will definatly use her again even if she is 5 quid more than the others

The RG is also well located for Jontiem beach(far better than Pattaya beach).If a beach type holiday is for you.There are hotels nearer the action,but as a newbie the RG will suit you fine(guest friendly)If your going for lacation alone then try around Soi 13,one way is walking street,the other way Soi6,7,8 Big C Soi 2 .My Fav being the Lek between Soi13 andSoi12.

Just Back from Pats(march)was there a two weeks,spending money under £500 out of that I had 8 LT,had enough beer every night.Hardly ate at all due to Heat and beer.Lived on Pig and Whistle breakfast(soi 7) and sarnies made with my own fair hand.lady drinks bought 3.Had plenty of fun on £35 aday PS take a couple of ATM cards use same as at home.I used ATM's in Big C(super markey)

I found the breakfast Piss Poor not worth getting up for .The guy who cooks the eggs is slower than a slow thing.
