Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Self Defence Tips to Protect Yourself in Pattaya
Tengotodo replied to John-IT's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I have never had a probelm whatsoever in Asia. In the US, I've' had quite a few altercations due to rude behavior and improper responses. In LOS, I've been very lucky to find almost everyone very polite and agreeable. The best Self Defense in LOS, in IMOP, is to shut up and smile. -
Uh, what the hell is black pudding?

What is a banger? Mashed potatoes or sausage??

With taxes/surchages it comes out to $934 from New York - a very nice price, and one that does not shop up on Oribtz or Expedia. NS Thai for the same period is $250 more. The Cathay Pacific flights have a minimal layover of 2.5 hours.

Now, no need to get your panties in a bunch. Your deliberate flame was unnecessary and below your usual standard. -

And not as strange as suspecting lurking cyber shadows are out to get you either -
Areca is asking 1490B per night for standard single starting in January 2008. Are they nuts, or are all the hotels staging for a big increase in prices?
-
Took your advice and emailed Areca. Got the following response: "I confirm you the booking with a standard rooms 1 big bed @ 1,490Baht, check-in 01/01/08**check-out 11/01/08. I request advance deposit 3,000Baht, please print out the attachment form and I would be grateful if you could complete them and by return fax or e-mail. Then I will reconfirm the booking ASAP. Thank you in advance. Best regards DEAR" 1500 Baht is getting up there and I'm not inclined to pay that much. I realize Jan 2008 is high season, but 1500B is too steep for this place, IMOP. I'll try the

Am I the only one who finds this peculiar? -
strategic time as well. Between 5 an 8 pm I'm usually fishing for company and not likely headed for a pizza shop (unless they have pizza girls)? But, as I'm staying on the SOI anyway, I'll be sure to grub cheaply and check out the gogo right next door. thanks...

I have no allegiance to either US Airways or Delta (or their partners, for that matter). Please feel free to make an irresistable offer and I will gobble up the miles post haste. Oh, by the way... 52 days 'till Nana Plaza

Sky-Top has a new internet address
Tengotodo replied to BigDUSA's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Looks like the Skytop has been gettign a raw deal in the press. Appears to be a good value for the money. I wonder what kind of High Season rates we can get (I can get) if we invoke Pattayapages discount? -

Who's the babe on the homepage? If that's "Pete" then I'm definitely booking a room! What about Dec/Jan rates? CAn you get me a discount? -
You can't "trade" and it is cost prohibitive to "transfer" the miles into someone else's account. But with a little effort by both parties, you can each make reservations for the other and effectuate a "trade" in that manner.

yes, it is and I love how she changed her hair -
A quick read of the eva site suggests 2 options; You can book the award ticket for someone else if there is availability. It costs between 100K and 150K FF miles from USA to BKK. Other option is you can transfer the miles into someone's account, but this requires some bullshit paperwork and designating "nominees", copy of passport. The advantage to #2 is the miles expire in accordance with your original limitations. There does not appear to be any transfer fees once the paperwork is in place (up to 60 days). Tickets awarded under option #1 are good for only 1 year. So, how much for 1

Self Defence Tips to Protect Yourself in Pattaya
Tengotodo replied to John-IT's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
This tactic works well all over the world. But 1 question: how fast can a stripe-assed ape run, and how do you know that? -
If you can upgrade again to first or business class on Thai, then I suspect that would be the better flight as THAI does have the "almost" lie-flat seats. You can check out all flights and customers comments on Seat Guru

Looks good, but the map on the website sucks. How far is it from WS and is it on the baht bus route?
-
I will be happy to take enough miles off your hands at $.01 per mile. The loss of any associated FF miles is factored into my discount offer, and I fly economy.
