Thanks for the fast replies and infos guys! When I looked at their website it says standard room 600 baht and down to 500 baht in low season, which isn't that bad! Mentioned about "Intranet", don't know if that is Wi-Fi in the rooms as well!? Monthly rates at normal prices are way too high though, and the rooms look small and pretty ordinary in the pictures!? For a few nights or a weeks stay maybe not so bad, can't complain about the location either, will have a look when I arrive in Patts. Plahgat

Any pictures of the new rooms, any Wi-Fi, long time rates? Plahgat

Hi! Heard that not only the soi but the old hotel that gives name to the soi has been renovated as well!? So, has anyone stayed or had a look at the rooms in Honey Inn after renovation? Plahgat

Spicy Girls "pre-house-moving" party! Dec 21 st.
plahgat replied to plahgat's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Yapp and I'm their PR Manager! We are talking Spicy Girls here not "Spice Girls"! Plahgat -
Just saw this announcement on Spicy Girls A GoGo Website, and since it is one of my regular wateringholes for the last 3 years, I thought I'd make a push for them! Hopefully they will have more space at the new location and a few more new talents to go with it, always been a laidback bar with a nice athmosphere and some good oldtime music for us old farts to enjoy! See ya next year! Plahgat

Hi boogey_knight! I don't know about your looks , but if you look like a chinese or japanese there won't be any problems, many girls specialize in rich East-Asians! On the other hand if you look like Indian or Arab you might have more problems with Thai-girls, South-Asians are more prowned to make problems with the girls, they have a bad reputation of trying and underpaying the girls or share one girl with several mates or indulge in perverted acts that many girls are not accustomed too! Many GoGo bars doesn't even allowe them to enter their premises! But if you are East-Asian there shouldn't be any problems! As said, the best way is to tell one of the service-girls what girl you fancy and have her over for a ladydrink! Another way is to go up to her and slip a 100 baht note in her thong and ask her to join you when her dance routine is over, works everytime! Good Luck! Plahgat

Worst scenario for me when I enter a GoGo bar, is if the oldest and ugliest bitch in there immediately comes and seats herself next to me and starts rubbing herself against me pleading for ladydrinks whilst obstructing the view trying to get my attention so I can't survey the rest of the talent! If this happens I usually let her know that I'm not interested in her, and if she won't leave me... I will leave the bar! I prefer to be left alone with my drink and zoom in on all the talents before I make a choice, I'm quite fussy about the looks of my girls, and I always make a ranking of the girls in my mind, have to compare all their bodily assets first, which may take an hour or two( or sometimes days!), then I'll start to chat with my top rank and work my way down the list until I find someone who suits my needs for young, cute and "innocent" looking girls! I also don't like girls that pleads and begs for LDs, if I like a girls company after been chatting with her I will ofcourse buy her a drink or two, but I don't want to feel pushed to do it, I will do it only if she has given me a reason for it, if she gives me good vibes and seems to be genuinely interested to know me too... then it's a deal! I usually don't use Mamasans to get the girls over, some of them can get very pushy for LDs, never had a problem in NLD1 though, that's one reason why this bar is one of my top favorites! Usually a smile and an eye-wink is sufficient to get a girl down from the stage, if not I'll use one of the service girls to drag her over! Plahgat

You can now also fly to Penang in Malaysia with Firefly airline! Plahgat -
Just a small update! Paradise aGoGo is supposed to open it doors again on Saturday 16 June. Honey aGoGo has had its doors closed for some time now, for good or just for renovation!? Also my condolences to Michael's family, Susi bar was one of my favorite hangout bars some years ago! Plahgat

"Picnik" a new photo editing website!
plahgat replied to plahgat's topic in Technical problems or questions.
I also use Photoshop myself, but just heard about this new website, and it seems to be a good and easy to use alternative for the amateurs and beginners who normally doesn't work with pictures! Plahgat -
Hi, ya all! Just found a new photo editing website that is very easy and user friendly! Picnik Noticed that many newcomers to our board (and some oldies as well), don't know how to downsize their pictures before they post them, so this new website comes very handy! You don't need to download or install any programs to your computer, and you can access it anywhere as long as you have a computer connected to the Internet. Very convenient if you are in an Internet Cafe, and the computers don't have any photo editing programs already installed. You can register for free and become a member and store your pictures online, but you can just only try it out as well! Easy to use, only upload your picture from the computer, and then you have many choices of editing including resizing, cropping, sharpening and so on, and then you can save it again to your computer or share it with your friends! Check it out! Recommended! Plahgat

A week or two of no cum and a long foreplay is the only things that makes you squirt more! Plahgat

Hi BB! I walked by a few times earlier this year and saw this big banner hanging outside, saying rooms for I think 9000 baht a month, but when I inquired inside they only had 5 rooms at that price and they were all occupied. They told me that the rooms were as you said 13990 a month which was a little bit higher than I was looking for, but the free Internet connections in the rooms were not working, they told me that they will fix it later! I just wonder did the Internet connection work when you stayed there? Although rooms look OK on your pictures, I think that 2700 baht for el. and water for 4 weeks sounds a little bit steep though! I payed 1500 baht for electric at (Tycoon Place) for a full month stay with use of my computer several hours a day, and no extra charge for cleaning every day and linnen change 2-3 times a week! I'll keep R-Con Residence in mind though as an extra place to choose if I can't find another room! Thanks for the info and pictures really appreciate it! Plahgat

Lots of cheap hotels available around then! Even if you don't stay for a full month, it's cheaper to pay the monthly rate! Lots of nice and clean little hotels around 600 baht per night or 12000-13000 baht a month (about 400 baht a night)! Maybe even cheaper in low season, most hotels in this price-racket are situated, near the Soi Dianna Inn and Soi Bua Khao intersection, especially in the Soi LK Metro, some even has free wireless connections in their rooms, although no swimming pool! No need to prebook just go their and check them out, always easy to find some room even in the high season. Plahgat
-
No panic, really no need to prebook a hotel in Pattaya, so many places everywhere, especially around Soi Bua Khao and Soi Lk Metro area, starting from around 600 baht up, just go there if you arrive late just take the first best place for a night and then scout around for another hotel in the morning. In Patong Beach in Phuket there are also quite a few places around 1000 baht a night. Have a look at the hotels opposite "Christin's Massage", lots of places along that stretch and in some soi's behind Rat-Uthit (songroy pee) road. Plahgat

Sure, but it's not the price of the bed that makes you happy, it's what happens in it! Plahgat Once again I want to apologise, because when I first read your post in another thread I didn't know that you were going on a holiday with your wife, I thought you where just going for the usual whoremongering and partying like most members on here! Lol plahgat

Sorry Makavelli for using your words as an example, it was not my intention to flame you in person or anyone else! I apologize for that and wish you and the missus a pleasant stay at the Marriot. I just wanted to start a debate about the value of money and what you can get for it in the way of accomodation in Thailand! During my 20 years of travelling to almost every province in the Kingdom, I have slept on if not an airmatress at least a sarong on the beach, I've stayed in tents and dormitories in national parks and in 40 baht simple bambu and coconutpalm huts on the beach without electricity and using a bucket of water as shower, I've stayed in hot sweaty mosquito infested local brothels with peepholes in the walls to noisy cubicles in BKK Guesthouses, most expensive place I ever stayed in thailand was one night at the Little Duck Hotel in central Pattaya for 800 baht, which was one of the dirtiest oldest and funkiest places I ever stayed in, I'd rather sleep on the beach under the stars anytime! What I want to say is that wether one spends 1000 dollars or 10 dollars you cannot pay for happiness there are other things that counts more! Plahgat
-
I didn't intend to flame anyone by opening this thread, everyone has his own preferencies! but... It's just that I have been appalled at times when I've seen people bragging in other postings of how much they've spent on fancy hotels and thereafter posted a picture to show how nice their room was, and it just showed a tiny simple room that often isn't better looking than any of the room are in 500-1000 baht/night places. I sometimes have a feeling that the better off people, that are used to only stay in more expensive places, has no idea how comfy and clean and much more personal and friendly many of the smaller locally owned hotels are, they seems to think that because they are much cheaper they must be dirtier and cockroach infested places, sure there are a few but far from all! Comments like when people compares cheap hotels to "buy an airmatress and sleep on the beach" clearly shows that! Lol I'm sure that there are as many if not more cockroaches in Marriot than in most cheaper places, hiding behind all that fancy surface! The money spent on expensive international hotels could have been spent in better ways like for instance travelling around the countryside and see how the local people really lives and to try to learn something about the real Thailand and the circumstances that most bargirls come from, I think that many would be surprised and change their views about bargirls being just LBFM! OK 'nuff said from me in this matter! Just wanted to air some of my thoughts! You do what you do and so do I. Have a nice day! Plahgat

Just read this in another thread: Geezz!!! There are really some big spenders on this Forum! That's about 85000 baht! Hotel alone, for 24 days!!! ...and here I am a "Cheap Charlie" staying at places about 10 times cheaper! I have never stayed in one of those posh international hotel chains, and I just wonder what do you get for that price that I won't get for paying only 10000 baht a month in a local hotel!? I mean... last year I stayed at Tycoon Place; all new superclean place with lift, swimming pool, aircon room with all necessairy furnitures, big fridge, 60+channels cableTV, hot&cold shower, balcony with poolview. Restaurant, massage, hairdresser and minimart in reception area, daily roomcleaning, 24 hour security, nice quiet neighbourhood and yet no more than 15 minutes walk from Walking Street! ...and on top of that Free Internet access in my room and no joinersfee when you bring back girls! Monthly cost 8500 baht, electric not included, (add another 1500-2000 baht for that). For 85000 baht I could stay in a cheap hotel for 8-9 months! Lol! I can understand if you have it payed by some company, but to throw away that amount of money from your own pocket I find hard to understand! All you need is just a place to sleep and bring back your barfine for a "roll in the hay" anyway! What's your opinions? Plahgat

Hi guys! I will soon land in Pattaya again, end of January! Just wondering if you have any new cheap hotels to recommend? Preferably in Soi LK Metro/ Soi Bua Khao/ Soi Lengkee area, but also South Pattaya or some place close to Second road might do! Looking for monthly rent of less than 10000 baht electric not included. Aircon room with big fridge, cable TV 21 inch or more, big clean bathroom with hot and cold shower, clothes-cupboard with hangers, desk with lots of drawers, makeup table and mirror, and an extra small table with two chairs, and some ample lighting at night enough for reading would be great. Free Internet access in the rooms is a must. Balcony (with furniture if possible). Within walking distance to bahtbus routes, shopping and entertainment areas. Stayed at Tycoon Place for 8500 baht last trip and enjoyed it, except too poor lighting in the room at night and no bahtbuses passing by at night except for expensive taxis! Year before I stayed at Thai Archer Guesthouse in Soi LK Metro for 10000 baht a month/low season, best room I ever had great lighting with dimmer function, although the soi was pretty noisy some nights! Have heard they are more expensive now 15000 baht up per month? I always arrive late evening around 21.00 and never prebook any hotels, so first night I just walk around Soi Bua Khao and take what I can get for 1 night, and then I scout around for a new place next morning, but it is always easier if I have some places on my mind to check out before I go! So any new places to recommend....? I would really appreciate it! Thanx in advance! Plahgat

Way to go Shane! I just hope that the trial will continue at least until end of January, when I'll be back! Plahgat
