  1. Anybody know if the Irish Rovers and also Kilkenny across the soi are ladyboy friendly ?
  2. Email Bangkok Pattaya Hospital http://www.bangkokpattayahospital.com/index.html. Tell them what you want and they can give you an estimated cost. If you're happy with it you can arrange for a proper consultation for when you arrive in Patts. I had a cyst removed there, arrived on Saturday, had a consultation Monday, operation Wednesday then back on the following Monday to have the stitches out. Cost was 5000 THB plus another 500-1000 for antibiotics etc. Dode
  3. Aren't you normally perving a LBs on the Ladyboys Pattaya Forum ?
  4. Just looked at the new menu - well over-priced and food looks ordinary. 595 baht for a steak ? That's £12 - get real.
  5. Deep fried pizza from the chippie for me
  6. Many a mickle make a muckle
  7. Try the Queen Vic in Soi 6. Their website claims: "Traditional English Food is served from 9 a.m. until late, including English Breakfasts made with real English bacon and sausages, Beef Stew, Imported Cod and Chips, Pork Pies, Sausage Rolls and also stunning Roast Dinners with all the trimmings!" http://www.queenvictoria-inn.com/foodindex.htm
  8. Email BM Lostinspace at catsmad@yahoo.co.uk. 1600 THB to Pattaya which includes the tolls and a couple of cold beers.
  9. IMHO this hotel is good VFM http://www.opeydeplacepattaya.com
  10. It's too far to walk to WS but it's on the main Pattaya - Jomtien baht bus route. George
  11. I normally stay at Opey but last trip stayed at PBR instead. What LTGTR says is true but you can hear what goes on in the standard rooms next door unless you have VERY quiet neighbours. Also, March still high season so the room is 1399 thb.
  12. Why not try Opey de Place. It's next door to JP Court but away from the construction - should be able to get a room for less than a 1000.
  13. I'm booked on EVA next Friday. Any other BMs in T3 at LHR that evening fancy hooking up for a beer ? Dode
  14. Pattaya Bay Resort ? http://pattayabayresort.com/Monthly_Rates.aspx
  15. Teelack, The Areca Lodge in Soi Diana used to allow outsiders to use their pool. Think it was 200 baht and they also provided a towel. Hope this helps. Dode
  16. I was there last September - it was very hot & humid, rained occasionally, the beer was cold and the were lots of girls from Isaan in the bars. I will be there in 3 weeks time and don't expect it to be any different. Also, the lack of farangs can give you the impression that you are the only kid in the sweetie shop. I actually prefer August/September to being there at Christmas surrounded by dickheads. Dode
  17. A lot of the BGs finish work at 2pm then go freelancing. I would head for Walking Street. Dode
  18. The Haven Hotel in soi 13 is in close proximity to the Marriott and is in the price range - about 850-950 THB per night. http://www.thehaven-hotel.com Dode
  19. I've used them twice and they were waiting at BKK to pick me up both times. Both journeys took about 1 hour 30 mins which I thought was ok as the driver just took it steady. Only downside was, same as Gus, on 2nd trip there was no cold Chang in the car. Compared to the fcuking lunatic Meter Taxi I took for Nana to Patts last August Thai Limo are the biz. Dode
  20. Just been checking prices for August/September on Southall Travel website and FinnAir show £400.70 return LHR - BKK on the dates I tried eg. out 22/08/08 in 07/09/08. Only drawback is 5 hours in Helsinki on the outward trip ( only 1 1/2 hours on the way back) Dode
  21. I used the service last month. Driver was there to meet me and the car was brand new. Once in the car he handed over an ice box containing 2 complimentary cold Chang beers. Would use them again.
  22. I'll catch up with you in Patts
  23. Just booked EVA for 21:35 on 24th October. Anyone else at Heathrow T3 that evening who fancies meeting up for a beer before take off ? George
  24. Thanks for the info guys. I won't need to stop in Doha now as I've managed to book on EVA for £473 departing on 24th October. See you on the 25th if you are in Fun Town. George
