  1. Just a question of watching them instead of a lot of the crap on youtube these days. There's actually a good live cam of Lanzarote airport. It must be the voyeur in me that likes watching this kind of stuff :)
  2. They were live for a while, seems like they're just on a loop now. They did have 4 now down to 2, probably got a bollocking off youtube or something.
  3. Just shows how tastes differ, she does nothing for me at all. The pointy chin is a big put off. Now, the girl in the red dress , she is absolutely stunning.
  4. No, they're hardly action packed are they lol! I reckon the Soi honey one might be worth a look during songkran however.
  5. We've flown Cathay PE and we did consider Singapore PE at the time, there doesn't seem to be too much difference price wise (from the UK at least) but if the Cathay product is anything to go by, for a long haul flight it is definitely worth the extra. Ours worked out at roughly £300 per person on the return LHR-HKG-LHR legs (HKG to MNL wasn't worth it for 2 1/2 hours in the air). Here's a comparison between the two done last year: http://www.godsavethepoints.com/2017/08/11/sleep-plane-airlines-offer-best-premium-economy-seats/ *Edit in Looking at the flight time SFO-SIN of near
  6. Ahhh..yes that's who I'm thinking of...I mistakenly thought they were the same person. :D
  7. "vuecams" have 4 streaming cams of Pattaya, all HD and pretty good feeds. It's the Retox people I think, as they had something to do with a site which had a few cams a couple of years ago (2 in LK Metro, 2 in Buakhao, 2 in Walking Street, Retox Lengkhee & Honey). "Test Cam 1" is Soi honey and "Test Cam 2" Second road. Hopefully they'll get some more up as time goes on. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvMEob4HaVMuseF-vaTo9Qw Worth checking out if you're bored, nothing particularly interesting I guess but at least it's better than a lot of crap on youtube these days.
  8. Is he still half way down on Soi Diana?
  9. If anyone likes a bit of comedy, Ricky Gervais' "Humanity" is on Netflix. I'm not a great fan of RG, but in this he's lost his "nasal" sound and is actually very funny. Worth a watch if you're at a loose end.
  10. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/travel/news/the-first-ever-non-stop-passenger-flight-from-australia-to-britain-lands-after-a-record-17-hours-in-the-air-qantas-787-dreamliner-makes-history-on-9000m-journey-that-used-to-take-twelve-days/ar-BBKFsGQ?li=AAnZ9Ug&ocid=mailsignout Quite a trip, 17 hours but kudos to the dreamliner which managed to make it all the way without breaking down lol.
  11. Never flown Qatar. We have considered it in the past for our Manila trips as they seem to have a good price point, decent timings and half decent tackle, but I prefer to break the back of the trip in one hit (LHR-HKG-MNL). I take it the flight will be into the hub at Doha then pick up a connection to BKK?.
  12. Well, it was actually a one off as apart from SAA they're the only people who go direct to Cape Town ( I think). I'm only there for a few days and it'll be the last time I ever visit so it's no real drama. It just kind of sticks in my throat that they have the front to do that. Anyway, i'm just ranting, I didn't pay their ransom out of principle.
  13. Matters not, BA are fucking wankers anyway as I've recently discovered. They wanted £77 pp to pre book a business class seat LGW-CPT on top of a £3k ticket price. I'm not really concerned about the price of the ticket, I am pissed off at the demand for £77 per seat however. I know it is an optional payment but it fucking well shouldn't be.
  14. Hi Frosty If you wish to define "iffy" to me via PM, I'm happy to go through any given section between any given dates. Maybe if the workload is shared between a few BM's who could each take, say, 6 Mo / 1 year of TR's and then go through and check, then decide if the TR qualifies for moving. might release some workload from you in that respect.
  15. See this alot in the Philippines. Basically Soi dogs learning the hard way to avoid traffic, or at least sleeping in the road.
  16. Just a guess, but isn't a delay like that normally caused by a technical error, or was it anything to do wit the adverse weather we were having?.
  17. Altered Carbon I've set to download. I'll check out Hard Sun, the trailer looks great and it's from the creator of Luther, another excellent drama series. Good call Patna, cheers!
  18. Good idea, so maybe along with a tip for the service, we could include 20 or so baht for the forum, or chuck a baht grenade into the PT pot if we're passing. The only problem is that it's a bit unfair for us to expect Phil to sort it all out as he's pretty busy running the bar.
  19. We flew on MH3 (Malaysian's A380 ) in its first week. I found it really cold - (although I was pretty ill anyway) and was told by the CC that as we were near the stairs to the upper deck, the cold air sinks down in that area. Not sure if it is true or not. It was my first and up until now only time on an A380, it was quieter and smoother than the 777 with slightly more room and a fairly new cabin layout. I didn't feel any turbulence which I found is common on a 777 and really obvious on a 787.
  20. Frosty I've put through a donation but the page failed to display with a confirmation, instead I got a corrupted SQL server page. If it didn't go through can you please let me know asap so I can sort it out please?.
  21. Where did I say I flew internationally on a turbo prop?. As far as I know Salalah is still very much part of Oman, unless you know different. Oman Air started in 1993, (evolving from Oman Aviation which started in the early 70's), it's in the right hand side precis which you seem to not be able to fucking read properly. Oman Aviation started in the 70's. Isn't it also in bold saying: In 1981, Oman Aviation Services became a joint-stock company.... Don't tell me to wind my neck in when you make yourself look a right f**king numpty by not even reading what's written in front of you
  22. Blue Nun and Black tower, both high quality wines from our European neighbours. I had you down as more of a "party 7" or "Hoffmeister" man Jacko I remember my brother running a bottle of Blue Nun through the sodastream at a party and trying to pass it off as Champagne. I've had the free pour wines at Mantra and also the Hilton. If you can drink a fair amount then the Mantra has some good choices, and the one price for all you can quaff in 3 hours or however long it is some see as a challenge rather than an option. Myself and another BM who remains nameless did stagger out of there
  23. Oman Air is what it developed into, correct, but its previous incarnation was Oman Aviation Services, back in the 70's it was private and operated out of initially Bait al Falaj, then in 1972 Seeb, in 1981 it became established with more investment as an international company and changed to OIS. They were responsible for operating the Shorts Skyvans out of Seeb into Salalah. It's in the first fucking paragraph of your wikipedia link FFS. Try reading it next time before calling bullshit. " Oman Air can trace its root back to 1970, when Oman International Services (OIS) was established.
  24. Hi Is the Agoda referral worthwhile? Are there more or better paying referral sites that can perhaps can come on board?.
  25. Last time I used them they were known as "Oman Aviation" back in 1979. Recent reports seem to be very positive and they appear to be establishing themselves as a good albeit slightly smaller ME Airline. I think this works in their favour, the big guns lost the personal touch a bit as they have expanded, from what I've heard OA still have that. Seriously though, If you're stopping at Seeb then it is no better or worse than any other small airport, it was pretty underwhelming in the 70's 80's and 90's but has probably been modernised since (one would hope). If you are feeling a bit flash wit
