Depends on who you use, Taxi's are about the cheapest but if you use the old Thai Limo (not the counter service but the people will approach you after you clear immigration) I think it's now 1,960 including tolls.

I had a very good driver yesterday who said he did private work, pick-up from airport, brand new car, best driver I have had in Thailand, I was so impressed I asked for his card. Usually I just wait for the driver to kill us but I felt completley comfortable with this driver. His name was Mr Lek, local contact number is (01) 781-3154. I don't know anything about him, so if anyone uses him I would be intersted to know if he was relaible, I would say he is but only used him the once.

Check out the meeting section. Look for reliable car and driver. Fair number of services listed. Problem with many cabbies they don't know Pattaya and you can spend some time trying to find your hotel.

I've used Alex many times and have been satisfied with his service. Other guys haven't been pleased.

I decided on my last trip to forgo limousine service. I took taxi to Morchit bus station 200baht then aircon bus to Pattaya 95baht. Comfortable ride and only took 2 hrs 15 mins. On arrival in Pattaya ther are baht buses waiting and will take you to centre for 30baht. If you want one direct to hotel 100baht.

All in all the cost was 395baht.

I am not a cheapskate but prefer to save my money for more important things :P

I am not sure whether to try a Limo service car next trip. However, if I pay around 1,900 I want a good driver who doesn't hang around, a very good car and no changeovers en route to Pattaya.

I guess it's a case of treating the drivers in arrivals like a BG, ask them all the relevant questions before deciding, of course that means the driver being truthful something that thais are not very good at :P not like us Farangs :banghead

Floyd,

What is the new name for the old Thai Limo company? Could you share the contact info from the card you received? Thanks.

When I was in Pattaya in December, the hotel that I booked arraigned a taxi pickup at 23:00 hours – Cost was about 1200 B +150 Tolls

Worked fine, met me at customs with a sign and direct to my hotel.

this firm are very good and the charge for a car to meet you is 1600 Baht inclusive

www.pjscuba.com

Agreed. And they're Pattaya based, so the drivers know where all the hotels are.

Used PJ Scuba last time i went to Pattaya.

The airline lost my luggage, so I had a wait for filling out all the forms etc.

The driver was still waiting at arrivals. Good driver as well.

I've used Khrongfa 7 times without any problems. They are based in Pattaya so they know their way around the town. Cost is 1200 for a private car plus parking (50 baht) and tolls (150baht). If you arrive close to the Thai limo mini bus departures times you can take them for 200 baht. The one problem with the bus to Pattaya is if you arrive late at night as they don't run late at night.

Pattaya to the airport is cheaper. Many taxis charging as low a 750. Again the Thai Limo mini bus for 200 ( you have to get to their office on 3rd Rd) but with only 3 depatures and mini vans through travel agencies for 300 baht.

Thanks for the information!

BTW, how did you know that these folks would not try to rip you off, as they were not at the taxi stand, or behind a legit looking counter of some sort?

Go up two fl;oors to Departures and get a Meter Taxi that is dropping someone off, arrange a price, if you are alone you can get for 1,000 if 3 sharing they normally charge 1,500. so price should be somewhere in that range, also remember to get Motorway Toll included in the agreed price
