help needed! 1st timer!

Hi everyone,

enjoyed reading everyones posts and getting advice proir to my 1st trip to pattaya in 2 weeks.

I'm going with 4 mates and we are all big rugby fans.........does anyone know if there is any chance of anywhere showing the england/New Zealand rugby game on the 19th november??? Would hate to miss it??

well im going later on today! and im hoping to see the welsh games! in the past ive seen most games over there ie 6 nations , lions etc. a lot of the bars show the games and most will advertise the games (usually on a blackboard or similar outside the bar) and obviously the bars run by brits (and there are loads of them!) will show the games!

great...was worried in case they didn't get the sport out there. Am looking forward to having a few beers and watching the maoris get hammered???? wishful thinking perhaps.................

oh and afterwards did someone say pattaya has interesting bargirls......???????????

Rugby will be on all over town. Stars in Eyes (Soi 8, nr Beach Rd) is a good place to watch if you don't want B/Gs distracting your attention from the game.

Sorry, I'm nearly sure Stars is in Soi 7(always mix up these two soi's)

Kilkennys Irish Bar on Walking Street has loads of TV showing all sports at all times. No BGs in there and it has AIRCON!!!

Ex-manger of Shenanigans runs it. Shenanigans was THE rugby pub and home to the Pattaya Panthers but when he moved on he took the rugby crowd and the Panthers with him.

I can 2nd flymonkeys choice above.

 

Great mix of kiwis and British in there for the All Blacks v British lions tests.

 

The kiwi owner whos name i forget is a top host with free food at half time, and good banter during the games.

 

And the ST bars all around are great if the rugby gets boring

not a bar for the cheap charlies amongst us as I had a plate of fish and chips and a diet coke in there one evening and was charged 490 baht and the cod was crap as well.as far as i am concerned (and cheap charlies like me) there are better bars and better prices than there. and the rugby is on everywhere no worries on that score
