Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

When I booked in September for January coming I was quoted the 1350 per night, so I assume that will be valid as the increase will have happened since then.

However this page needs updating on this website as it still contains the 1350 as opposed to the updated 1399 on the final page of the review. 49 baht is small potatoes for such a welcoming hotel :cry1

Yes, but add that per room per night x whatever, and you are only a few baht behing Thaksin.

On the RG web page a while ago the standard rate I believe was 2500 a night so a good discount but this is not the only hotel in Pattaya but still a good FLB rate for a hotel of this Quality :clueless

I just booked for Mar.2006 and recieved an e-mail sying the price is 1350 and that everything is booked and confirmed.

Have stayed at the RG on all 3 of my other trips and find the place to be great. Just far enough away from the action you have no problems. The rooms are huge and clean and I find the staff very nice and helpful.

Don't know what the fuss is about. RG is excellent value and hassle free. I booked and confirmed last week for April 2006 and was quoted 1350 per room per night. Bloody marvellous. CAn't wait to get back there. :P

When did the price rise again (to 1399)?

I only paid 1350/night for a short stay at the end of October.

High season has commenced so I would not be surprised to see prices go up, they will everywhere.

Still a good price though.

That I agree with... Ib hasn't raised the price in the 3 years I've been going there. So 49 baht is puny. especially since he put a 2nd TV in the bedrooms in 2003.

At least this increase wasn't as bad as the last one. About 2 years ago I think it was only 1150 baht. I started staying elsewhere after the last increase. Too many other nice hotels around to pay a fat rate!

Cheers

I stayed at the RG from 18th until 27th November. I am a big fan of this establishment. It is spacious, no one hassles you and it is but a short walk or baht bus ride away from the action. Of course, people look for different features in an hotel. However, for me it ticks all the boxes.
