The football shirts for 150-200 baht are not proper copies, they tend not to have the makers brand name on. Have seen good copies in Mike,s shopping mall on beach road, pattaya, but they were 600 baht, although haggling will probably bring that down a bit. :D :D :D

The only way you shall cut out the middle man is by wasting lots of time and taxi fares in Bangkok. You shall then be dealing with the actual factory and being a non thai speaker who does not fully understand the various different grades of quality of these garments they shall see you coming all the way from Don Muang Airport :cry1 And all this for a saving of around 70 baht a shirt (£1.00)

Far better to cut a bulk deal with a Pattaya trader who shall profit by a small amount per shirt for sales of 10 or more. Plus once you get them back to your hotel room and closely examine each one for stitching & spelling (I've seen England spelt Englan on a badge) you don't have far to go & exchange them.

I use a charming woman at the beach road end of Soi 13 opposite the AA Hotel, her name is Yung & her phone number is 018627985; she is 100% trustworthy and from memory i pay her around 260 Baht per shirt for excellent products which all of my customers here in the UK have been delighted with.

I just give her my order then a week later she calls meet me for payment! She goes to Bangkok, individualy picks them out, checks the quality, transports them to my hotel room then i pay her; Her commission is throughly deserved :chogdee2

Approaching the maufacturer may be a no-no. Being a farang they might well assume that you are a Copyright agency snoop. Penalties are horrendous i.e. loss of counterfeit goods and machinery, a hefty fine - and probably time too.

I think thats the same girl I use. She also gets me genuinely large shirts (Not "I have big for you"). I spoke to her this trip about Socceroo shirts, but no luck.

Why would anyone want to buy a copy when the originals are now cheap as chips in the UK ?

Super Sports stores have the England home shirt in all sizes for £11.

Agreed, the market for football shirts has gone for the most part. Other stuff makes good coin though.

One of the guys in Made In Thailand shopping market has them for 250 baht apiece. They come with the full package from the manufacturer (i.e., tags, promo materials).

Have bought these several times and every time have had good responses, including a nephew and a client of mine that play/played professionally and have been to UK many times and bought shirts there also.

Remember if you get a customs search at a UK airport & you have counterfeit goods, they will take the lot off you (Including the shirt on your back & the watch on your wrist) & destroy it. B)

Up to you!

What a load of Bollocks; Three times Her Majestys Customs have approached me at Heathrow to ask about the contents of my suitcase! I always tell them the truth & that i am in possesion of twenty or so footy shirts for the lads in the pub. They take a look, confirm what i say is true and i am on my way shirts intact and no fine to pay.

I still feel that the best deal is to be had at the tuesday/friday market where the bloke who sold me 2 shirts for my son charged me 180 baht with a promise of 140baht if I bought 10 or more. just look and barter
