If you're making a booking direct with the hotel, I'd check with them first. Guest fees are often waived if you make the booking with them. Otherwise, you'll be looking at around 500-1500 baht per guest.

If I were you, I'd go somewhere that doesn't charge guest fees at all. The places that do are basically saying they don't want you there. Check out the hotels section on this board for recommendations.

thanks for the advice. The hotel that is advertised by the FLB looks pretty good to me.

Mikal. I usually go to Pattaya at the end of October or 1st of November. This next year's trip I will be with two friends who accompanied me on my trip this year plus a newbie also. Our trip is usually 4-5 weeks as we all enjoy our Pattaya trips each year.

If you are inclined, you can inbox me. I actually will be going to Pattaya on a side trip from the Philippines next Sunday. I can fill you in and help you out where/what/when/which.. :banana :D

Hi

I agree with that remark, plenty of nice places wont charge guest fees and you will be less likely to see too many large falang ladies.

Funnily enough I previously stayed at the Dusit Resort, very nice hotel and they just seemed to pay no attention to who I brought back, whereas the Montien gave me all sorts of aggravation.

I would advise anyone not to use hotels that charge a joiner fee, aggravating and hypocritical (I had security standing outside my door in one place as my keeper was still in the room after midday and they wanted that days payment NOW! They kept calling the room too.)

Book a place you KNOW do not charge. Cannot go wrong with RG.

I cannotb email you direct or inbox you which i think is e-mail. I will think about the Oct Nov period as I think that climate wise that would be a good time, I look foward to hearing from you sometime in the future.

I usually book hotels (outside of Pattaya) through a travel agent (for the discount) and I book for two people. The extra expense is almost nothing and it has prevented many "joiner fees". If you want to bring back more than one TG to an upmarket hotel you may run into problems.
