Hi there,

 

I am a newbie and like to make friends. My wife & I is arriving in Pattaya on 14 Jan staying for a weeks. We be staying at pattaya main beach, my wife like to sunbathe topless on the beach, is it common on the beach or is it allow on the beach.

I would not try it. Surprisingly, Thais are very shy and modest about nudity in public. I was in Pattaya about a year ago, and a couple of German tourists went topless on the main beach, causing quite a stir with the locals, and as I remember, the boys in Brown had a talk with them.

Not on the beach, but if you are staying at a resort hotel with a swimming pool or 2 it should not be that big a problem. I stayed at the Siam Bayshore at the end of walking street and the Russian girls dropped everything (tops & bottoms) then layed on the deck chairs for a tan.

Here like in Jamaica and many other countries, topless sunbathing is officially not allowed but you wouldn't think so as quite a few ladies are to be observed topless, even walking up and down the beach in Jomtien ( I do not frequent Pattaya beach), personaly if I was a lady I think a good balance would be to sunbathe topless in my deckchair and put my top on to go in sea and for walking about.

 

My thai lady just had her 'boobs done' and was forever saying once they are done I am going to go walking uo and down Jomtien beach topless like farang, I am certain she would not say this if going topless was a complete no no.

if you go to the north end of the beach(soi2-about soi6) where all the germans hang-out, you can find several old fat german women topless sunbathing, ocnce in a while there will be one worth looking at.

if you rent a chair, no one is going to care what you do.

i agree, like most places that actually allow topless, it is still best to cover up if your leaveing your sunbathing area to go to bathroom ect.

I think the main gay area is nearer Pattaya ( past the sail-boarding club) I've often been on the beach there with G/F and never really aware of sexuality of fellow bathers. Seem to be all sorts and didn't feel out of place.

For those who really want to know, there are several gay bars in the Jomtien complex more or less directly opposite View Talay 2. In addition, just before you turn the corner into Jomtien Beach Road, there are 2 go-go bars, the second of which is gay. The complex also has a number of bars with women but I've only stopped in one of them for one drink so far.

 

Various sois off Jomtien Beach Road also have a number of bars though the quality is a bit hit or miss at times.

 

When I first moved into View Talay, I barfined a few girls from the local bars but to be honest, there has yet to be one I'd want to see again. Now, maybe I was just unlucky

Same, same. I prefer the beach at Jomtien but have never found any girls worth a second go either. Think all the best girls go into Pattaya as there are more customers for them there.

Pardon for hijacking your tread, but I am moving to Jmptien Beach, and I heard that there is a Bar there where you can play pool with naked bar girls. Sounds like fun - Anybody know if it?

Absolutely no problem for your lady to go topless on either Pattaya beach or Jomtien beach or any of the beaches on Koh Larn.

I've seen falang women topless around my hotel pool at eastiny Place (nice rack), the beaches in Jomtien, Pattaya and Naklua. At Samae beach over on Koh Larn, I've seen a few bottomless.

I've spent quite a lot of time walking and sitting on the beach during seven trips to Pattaya. I've seen many (mostly european) women sunbathing topless. Never a problem, as long as they don't mind the mongers taking a (sometimes long) look. Tell her to, "go for it".

Dogged, dont take their advice! No one sunbathes nude in Pattaya! It's just lecherous board members wanting to see your wife's boobs!

Just joking. Everyone please relax. Dogged, I am sure there are areas in Pattaya/Jomtien where your wife can do what she wants. When I was at the Sabai Resort last month a totally beautiful and sexy Russian girl would sunbathe topless at the pool. Unfortunately she was always lying face down! I had many coffees (and resulting walks to the men's room) waiting for her to turn over. No such luck.

I even tried to get her to come out with me (that's how I know she was Russian) but the most she would let me do is take some pictures of her. (Not her boobs. )

Not common, but I've seen European women on Pattaya main Beach over the years topless and it isn't a problem. Thai women generally do not do it.

As above, so long as you pay for you deckchair and a few drinks everybody is happy!

You'll never see a thai woman topless sunbathing, but you will see farrang women doing it in Pattaya and Jomtien. There are plenty -- even getting massages while topless on the beach
